they are great computers, I have purchased and supporting more than 100 of them and as IT consultant, I give them 5 star.

PC lasted 8 months and now it wont take a charge. Battery isnt the problem, swapped that witha different one to test. The issue is interal/motherboard. Wanted to get some help with the issue and the company washed their hands of it. Dont buy from them or this product!

Fast and dependable

I really liked this laptop. Small, light, starts up quickly, great screen, nice backlit keyboard. ++Until it broke only 19 months later.+++It was lightly used at home, never dropped it or traveled with it. The battery stopped charging. Got a new battery, but it still won't charge. Can't even turn it on long enough to retrieve my data.

Bought this laptop 1 year ago. 2 days after 1 year the laptop died. Asked supplier if it was under warranty. They said no, warranty only good for 1 year. I googled this laptop and found out this unit is defective with an issue with the charging system. Computer tech repairman told me the motherboard is dead.I paid a high price for this unit thinking it was a dependable business grade unit. It is neither and I will never buy anything from IBM again.

(Purchased in July of 2021)OK--aside from the fact that it came highly recommended and has the performance (so far) that I expect from a laptop here's what missing that I really do miss:Here's what I don't like about it:No touch screenHas a numbers keypad, so....the keyboard is crammed into the left. This makes it difficult to get used to, as none of my other laptops had this number keypad, the numbers along the top of the keyboards always worked well.Has a little red peg in the center of the keyboard to move your mouse around. As this is a work-related laptop that option is useless. I guess it might end up helping to center my fingers on the cramped keyboard. (yu learn to ignr it) [nte n missing o's next](The o key is now having a lot of difficulty and after two weeks of it--I have had it with this PC)(Did find the ptin fr turning n the lit keybard, but...the laptop goes to sleep shrtly after being put dwn. Settings t NOT have it go to sleep are mute. I've set them--it does not work. Login passwrd same thing--which may or may not be a Windows issue. I've also turned off all of thse settings. And here's the thing: Every time it goes to sleep, yu need to password back in & the keyboard needs to be lit again. Every Single Time. Yu can see by the number of weird words that the o key is a PITA.)(Today I ordered a different laptop. Had it with this one.)

Worst purchase on Prime Day, dont buy on prime dayBought this on Prime Day sale, probably because this series had come across a known issue that is why it was so heavily discounted on prime day.... the charging port will just die in few months.Long story short: it's permanently dead and it's not the cord or the battery. Would need a new motherboard. If you google this you will find hundreds of people in the same boat. I spent $1200 on this new laptop. Can someone please contact me to let me know where to send it back?
