Vividstorm Floor Rising Screen
Packaging: is secure with hard plastic wrap, soft plastic wrap, sturdy cardboard box with ample amount of foams and securing straps. The metal ensure of the screen is tightly wrapped with another plastic protector to minimize dirt and water from entering during transportation.Quality of the screen: my system comprises of Epson 6050UB and this Vividstorm Long Focus ALR Screen Material, Black Housing Motorized Floor-Rising Projection Screen, Compatible with Lumen up to 2500ANSI of Normally Projector (Long Throw). The ALR screen material is excellent and durable. My system is in a Media Room (not a light-controlled room or treated walls) with a decent amount of ambient light from a ceiling chandelier and windows in the back of the room. During the daytime, this ALR screen provides reasonably bright images with good contrast and saturation. At night with most of the lights off, I am impressed with this ALR screen’s performance in rendering vivid color pops, high saturation and contrast, and clear images. With 4K/8K YouTube or 4K Blu-ray, the videos are fantastic with 3D-like, vibrant and sharp images. This is a gray screen with 0.8 gain, and it provides better contrast for my system than as compared to a white screen – i.e., not too dim or too over-bright. However, I’d prefer a 1.0 gain (which Vividstorm does not yet have for this screen), the images would be brighter and a better fit for media room setups. As the screen is wound-up in storage/transport, when first opened, it has some normal plastic odor and has some faint vertical and horizontal lines. Let the screen up to air out and afford the screen some time to break-in. The odor and faint lines will disappear in a day or two.Quality of the floor-rising motor & accessories: the motor is quiet and reasonably fast. The metal casing/enclosure is sturdy. The metal scissor mechanism to raise and lower the screen is smooth and functional. The screen is flat with no wrinkles. The two vertical edges of the screen can be curled up/forward a bit at first, which can cause more/uneven lights to be reflected at the edges -- and might be visible in some scenes -- as compared to the rest of the screen. This should go away after the break-in period. With respect to the accessories, this screen comes with almost everything you would need to install the screen: screws, wall anchors, sticky tapes for IR transmitter for the remote. You need to have your basic tools for installation.Customer Service & Conclusion: Vividstorm customer service (Agnes) is top-notch with fast responses to my setup help/inquiries/issues. They stand behind their excellent 2-year warranty. Buy with confidence. I had some problem with my screen and Agnes promptly resolved it for me. If there is any problem with the screen, reach out to Vividstorm/Agnes. With an advent of e-commerce, consumers have varieties of choices to pick a vendor for their purchases. There are many in-depth reviews on YouTube about projector’s screens in various price ranges. This Vividstorm screen is highly recommended as it is the right screen for my system for its excellent screen quality and floor-rising mechanism for its price. Moreover, the deciding factor for me is their above-and-beyond customer service.

Great so far for long throw ALR screen.
I purchased this screen to use with my long throw projector (Optoma 4K). This is used a a room with ambient light. The screen operates very well and provides a great picture in both low light and moderate ambient light conditions. I had previously just used a painted wall and this screen provides improved picture quality. The USB dongle works well to automatically deploy the screen when the projector is turned on/off.

Lines on screen
There are lines on the screen that despite what they say do not fade with time.

Pretty good so far…
Just got this so haven’t check out the remote etc. I was nervous when I first opened it because the screen was a light grey with tiny holes in. When room was light I coukd see them. Watching YouTube TV on Anker Nebula 4K. Switched from androind to Apple TV and picture after dark is pretty good. About 12 feet from projector. I posted 3 pics. One at wide angle, one zoomed in and then that picture cropped so you cannsee detail. It looks great on my phone and in RL but I’m not sure what will happen when Amazon host them…probably low resolution… but you shoukd be able to see the net behing the field goal posts. Not sure any projector is good in ambient light or if this screen make a difference. Eventually screen will be built into end of bed and projector in headboard and for that it seems pretty perfect.

My review of the VIVIDSTORM
I received this item approx four days ago and as of right now i am pleased with this product. the manufacturer should consider adding speakers system into the housing on each end. (high quality speakers) i wanted to give them a five star rating however, i was irritated with nerve wrenching attempts to align the projector with the screen. a short video would have helped. New buyers should go online to Youtube and search for additional info. I am a gadget person and the unique ideal of floor rising concept spark my desire the price point was somewhat high. Give me time to decide if it was worth the additional expense.

They are crazy.
I wrote Vividstorm and asked them what screen was compatible with my player. They told me.I ordered the screen. They contacted me and asked what projector I was using. I told them which one, that their support told me to buy this particular one and confirmed that I could return it if their support was wrong. They told me I should find samples of screen materials to test and said I can't return it if it doesn't work with my projector, even though I am literally buying it because they told me this is the one to get.Not a match for me, sadly. I would not have the slightest clue how to buy and test samples of screen materials.
