Igloo 2-Gallon Retro Party Water Jug Cooler, Jade

When we go camping, we normally take a couple cases of bottled water with us. In trying to reduce our amount of plastic waste, we decided to replace those cases of water with this jug and some reusable water bottles. It worked great and we also realized that this jug also took up less space so we were able to save some cargo room in the car.The jug is nothing fancy (the retro colors were fun) but it seemed well insulated. We'd dump in an entire bag of ice and then fill it the rest of the way with water. We could normally refill the water 1 time before we'd need to add ice again (camping in near 100 degree heat). We used it daily for almost a week and had no issues with leaks or anything like that.We also discovered that we could fit the 4 water bottles we bought inside the jug, which was great for saving space in the car or storing the jug when we were done with it. We bought 4 of the 17 oz. aluminum bottles so keep that in mind if you decide to buy this.

Our kids use this to keep water cool at their sports games. Good construction, easy to clean, and the perfect size. No leakage. Drinks always taste great!

I’m heading on a cross country road trip this summer and I was trying to be frugal and save money on food and beverages along the way. One way to do that is to avoid buying cases of water. I’ll also be car camping with two cats and a dog so my space is very limited. I bought this with the intention of filling it up with ice and water from home, then topping it off along the way at the campgrounds. Plus, I know I’ll have lots of uses for it over the years to come. So it’s a good investment. I also bought the yellow retro picnic cooler for the trip as well. It is just like my grandparent’s yellow igloo cooler and brings back fond memories. Now I won’t have to stop and buy food from restaurants and gas stations along the way.Honestly this, and the yellow igloo picnic cooler have made me more excited for my trip. The colors scream road trip fun. I can’t wait to use it. But first I think I’ll try it out at field day for my class.Also, Igloo’s last FOREVER and do such a great job at keeping things cool. I have a soft sided 12 can sized igloo cooler I bought for beach trips about 20 years ago and I’m still using it every day for my lunches. It’s just now starting to fray at the edges. I’ll figure out a way to patch it up though. I love igloo coolers

This is a quality water jug, sturdy and is a good value for the money. It has good ice retention and keeps your water cold all day. It a nice water jug for any purpose. I would recommend this product.

It’s OK little smelly with plastic in the beginning but I think all coolers are. It works great keep things cold for quite a long time.

Great for keeping boozy punches cool in the sun. Highly recommend for those who frequently host parties or have a pool. The ice in it lasted probably 6 hours in 85 degree sun at my last party. This (and other Igloo retro edition products) would be an excellent gift for the frat stars and sorority sisters in your life.

Used solely for mixing. Serves this purpose well.
