If you were serious about cooking, this is the salt you want.

Wonderful salt for brining the turkey. Dissolved easily and imparted just-right saltiness. Used 1 cup of this salt and 1 cup of organic baker's sugar per gallon of water. Needed 3 gallons for our 21-pound heritage bronze turkey, but it was the best turkey I have ever cooked. Everyone agreed! Plan to raise more of them from McMurray's in 2017.

Hard time finding this brand of kosher salt in my area in the box, so I finally resorted to Amazon. It's a little pricey for kosher salt, but I prefer it over other brands.

My wife and I absolutely love to cook and have been using Morton's kosher salt for the past 20 years. On the recommendation from family members and professional chefs, we made the switch to Diamond Crystal kosher salt. Our experience is that when seasoning with Diamond Crystal, we are able to control the seasoning better, resulting in consistently better flavored food. I will admit though that the lighter structure of the salt took a little time to get used to compared to the denser, salty punch of Morton's. There are times when you need that dense structure and punch of Morton's, so we have both on hand at all times. Day to day however, we cook with Diamond Crystal.
