Ordered this set as a gift for an elderly friend. The mat opens well and the pieces are pretty solid and of good quality

For a miniature analysis chess set, this is exactly what I was looking for. Doesn’t take up much space, is the smaller version of the classic club/tournament player’s set and comes with a nice, labeled carrying case. Happy with the purchase.

I like the carrying bag and the extra queen. Pieces are nicely weighted. So far, the board/mat hasn't flattened out in the way that the larger ones do. I rolled it up backwards to see if that helps. I think the material is smaller and maybe thinner so the weight of the material doesn't make it lie completely flat. As I said, the judgement is still out. I got two of these to give as gifts and I don't see them every day.

Does the job for a chess set. It smelled a but when I bought it but the smell went away after airing it out.

This is truly a good chess set. I got 3 of them for my classroom, they are easy for the kids to set up and put away, and use.
