Small, fast, and quiet
My latest hard drive failed, and I've always felt the need to have a back up for peace of mind. I had my eye on an SSD more for reliability than pure transfer speed (2 HDDs have failed on me now), but this ticks both boxes. I use it for Time Machine running in the background and it's small, fast, and quiet. It does feel warm from time to time, but nothing to worry about. I looked at increasing my iCloud limits as an alternative as this SDD is relatively expensive, but I'm sure not will pay for itself in the long run.I'm using it with a MacBook but do connect it almost all of the time and it's small enough to pack in the sleeve I use.

Small light weight storage
SanDisk is a quality brand and the external storage does not disappoint! Lightweight and straightforward to use. Already used it to backup photos, which it did quickly and efficiently. One small issue is that it got quite hot but not too much of an issue.
