Great band
The price tag seems excessive for a metal watch band but I was surprised I was able to pick up on the high quality of the band. The end links are solid and are machined to mate with the lugs perfectly. The finish of the links are consistent and even. The fit of each link matches the one before it. They are all uniform in size and spacing. The matte finish is understated and matches the case. Also the band doesn't make a sound when waving your hand about. The clasp snaps into place and requires some force to pry it open. After having a bad experience with a Luminox metal band, I was worried the clasp would pop open easily. This is not the case with this watch. I'm even wearing my band a bit tighter than normal due to the hefty weight of the watch. (If you don't lash the JDD tightly to your wrist, it tends to rotate around your wrist due to the gravitational forces acting on the heavy watch. ). It doesn't seem like it will pop open any time soon. I prefer a push button clasp but this will handle the job just fine.In terms adjustability this band will fit the daintiest wrist without any problem. My wrists are on the small side and there is still one set of links I can remove. All in all, this is a band I would buy again. The price tag is a little hard to swallow but it is bulletproof and it does make the watch look and feel nicer. I'm glad I made the purchase.

Some what overpriced
I've had my GRAR watch for 8 years on the rubber strap that it originally came with, which is still in perfect condition. The watch is in great shape too. When I bought it, i didn't have the extra money for the steel braclet but figured I'd get it some day. Well, that day has finally come. Sizing it was a bit of a pain. If you buy this, I'd suggest spending another 5 to 10 bucks for a few precision screwdrivers. I got a set of 4 for $10 and it made a huge difference. You'll also need a clamp to hold the braclet in place. Using these tools it took me about 45 minutes to take the links out, size it on the watch, and screw it back together. And be careful not to drop the screws as they are tiny! The braclet itself is high quality. It's all brushed to match the watch, except for the safety clasp that has Marathon on it. This piece is shiny and appears to be polished. I really appreciate that the clasp has 5 adjustments. It allowed me to get the perfect fit, which makes it very comfortable to wear even though it's quite heavy for a watch. So why the 4 stars? I deducted 1 for the price. Clearly there is a big markup on these. I see other steel braclets with screwed links between $15 to $30, so $100 seems more reasonable a price to me for this. That said, I like having the branding, fitted end links, and diver's clasp (I don't need it but its it's cool), so overall I'm happy with the purchase. It was worth the wait.

An outstanding watch for daily wear
Two years ago I traded in my Submariner for a President. I wore my Sub every day for 15 years and wanted another watch for daily wear. Fishing, hunting and sporting clay shooting are among my outdoor pastimes so I wanted a rugged watch. The Marathon GSAR suits all of my needs. When it arrived, the "out of box" experience was excellent. I checked the accuracy and observed that it gained 1 second in 60 hours! Truly remarkable for an automatic movement. I realize that their performance will vary from watch to watch and I likely lucked out and got an especially accurate movement. It's a hefty watch and while the bezel measures 41.5 mm, it seems smaller on my 8 inch wrist. I work in the Aerospace Machining Industry, so I am familiar with and appreciate precision manufacturing. The dial is easy to read at acute angles which is nice because I can glance down during meetings and don't need to turn my wrist to see the time. The rubber band is comfortable and really does smell of vanilla. I got the stainless steel bracelet to go with it and will get it installed sometime soon. It is also robust, attractive and looks well made. In summary, I am very satisfied and recommend this watch.

Perfect accessory for your Marathon Watch!
Mine 20mm Marathon stainless steel watch bracelet today - it went on a full sized TSAR. The band is very handsome, solidly built with solid end links and a great way to increase the value of your favorite Marathon. It's comfortable and doesn't scratch or pull at arm hairs. It has a fold over clasp with a wetsuit extension. One small caveat: This is the hardest bracelet I've ever had to do a link adjustment on! The links are attached by steel screws that are Loctite-ed in and use opposing screw heads - meaning one screw head on each side of the link that doesn't want to budge. What this means is that removing a links requires the use of one very small screwdriver on each side of the link. A padded vice is recommended, or better still take it to your favorite jeweler!

If you have a Marathon, you need this bracelet
This bracelet looks and wears perfect on my Marathon GSAR. The quality is top-notch and the solid endlinks fit perfectly on the watch case. It's hard to describe how it makes the watch look and photos just don't convey how good it looks in person. I've worn my Marathon on several different rubber straps, NATO bands, and even a Watchadoo bracelet but none of them look as good as the Marathon bracelet. It is quite comfortable and fits well although, like many brand new bracelets, may take a few weeks to break-in and achieve perfect comfort. Now that it is broken in I find it more comfortable than the rubber straps or watchadoo bracelet, with a broken in (i.e. soft) NATO band still being the most comfortable. However, between the perfect looks, quick drying time when wet and sweat resistance this still wins out over the NATO for me.Several areas I think need improvement (I would have dropped a star if it was more expensive):* Clasp should be of a push button, safety type like Omega, Hamilton, Seiko Prospex etc* Spring bars should be included (mine had none) as they're proprietary to Marathon and inexpensive* I prefer a clasp made of machined steel as opposed to stamped
