RICOH Theta Lens Cap TL-2 for Theta Z1 Camera

Be careful with this product. It's a very tight fit. You have to push quite hard over the lens to make it fit. The lightest particle of dust or grit that find It's way onto the actual lens cover could damage the lens for ever. Not a good design. I would buy one of the cheaper rubber coverings that are for sale which can easily be checked before placing over the lens.

I sent it back because the z1 comes with this cover which I feel protects the lens just as good as the cover. Using it as a stand is something I would never do because it’s top heavy. I use a tripod.

It obviously should just be packaged with the $1000 camera but it isn’t. Anyway, it’s a required accessory. The cap has spacing around the lenses to prevent contact with the glass. Use one thumb to push up one side to slide it easily off the camera.

It covers the lenses and hopefully would protect it in a drop but with any luck I'll never have to test it.

This bulges far out, and is has scoop-like edges that I think will pull in dirt. The camera won’t fit in its sleeve case with this, and the cap doesn’t come with a bigger sleeve, so you can choose one or the other. I don’t know if this is worth having or not.
