Q: Does the octagonal tag below the laces come off?

Yes. They're just attached to the laces. You don't have to cut them off. I removed them when I relaced my shoes.

Is the word “convent” correct? A shoe cannot provide convent. What i can tell you is that they are true to size. Exceptionally comfortable and have lasted extremely well. So much so, I have already purchased a second pair for when I may need them. I didn’t want to take a chance of them being out of stock or discontinued.
