I bought this as a Pirate’s treasure chest for my grandson’s 8th birthday. I filled it with old coins and other collectables. Great collectible, price is worth the quality.

The box is beautiful. Very well done. Packaging was good. This box will be passed down to my children and grandchildren. I would buy again

Christmas gift for our grown son who loves pirate treasures, sunken ships, etc. That along with a book on same subject brought such joy to him. A place to store his treasures!! The finish around the bottom of the chest was a little thin looking but the carving, lining and all the rest of it was very good quality. Very happy with the purchase.Pat

This chest is sublimely well crafted from very fine materials. The packaging was done to remarkably high and secure standards, obviously to protect the box during a long journey. The moment I unwrapped the paper around the chest, I could smell the leather. The tooling of the leather is of the highest order. This product was made and shipped with love in every respect. The people who designed and manufactured this product clearly are perfectionists.It is true, as other reviewers have noted, that the back of the lid does not align with the chest in the same way that the front of the lid aligns with the chest. This is not the result of poor craftsmanship but in order to accommodate the hinge attachment on the back of the lid. For me it’s certainly not a problem, and I doubt that most people would even notice it while the box was on display on a table.This is not a toy for children. It a work of art and should be handled as such. The interior of the chest is also beautifully crafted.It took a while for the chest to arrive, but it was worth the wait.
