These just aren't reliable yet
For all those having issues with these:A. For your monitor to be supported, this device needs to be able to recognize your monitor. I've heard by EDID or basically its internal ID, but it could otherwise just be the signal from this device or vice versa. Regardless, I have 4 monitors and it only works on 2 of them because they are different manufacturers. I have 2 Acers and 2 LGs and it only works with the Acers.B. Even when/if you get this to work, it will rarely work from a computer cold start or reboot. I find myself unplugging this thing and plugging it back in nearly every time I turn my computer on, and often even when I reboot. This thing is also sensitive to longer cables. Anything over 3feet from this device to your monitor, and you might get a lot of static on your screen. I've had to route cables very carefully and away from each other to get one of my monitors to work without static. Even then I still get static on one of them almost every time I use this computer, and I have to jiggle the cable until the static clears up.The only reason I don't return this thing, especially for how god awful expensive it was, is this is on a work computer and I don't really have other options to get 4 monitors. I could return it for a 2 port, or another 4 port one, but from what I've read the issue is just the firmware/software and it wouldn't help to get a different one.

Great tool to mirror screens
As we started performing onsite training again, we were in need of a new training area at work. I was on a tight budget and needed to display content on 2 projectors and 2 TVs. I was concern that for this price, this thing wouldn't work. I was wrong. This device was fantastic. The this has worked perfectly for the last 5 months. Extremely pleased with this little device.

Doesn't work like you think it does.
This product does allow you to connect multiple monitors to a single display port outlet and have video on each monitor. For that, it does fine. The issue comes when you decide to do things that probably any normal PC user does, like shutting down, restarting or putting your computer to sleep. If you do this, the unit doesn't come back when the PC resumes or boots. If you attempt to power cycle the unit while the computer is running the other connected displays freeze and the computer is unusable until the device is powered off. A workaround for this appears to be power cycling the device while the computer is in the sleep or shutdown state. If you do that, it seems to come back up without issue. Still annoying to deal with. This seemed wrong so I contacted the manufacturer's support, and their response was that it appeared to be normal operation because in their instructions they say to make sure everything is powered down before "installation" (I was surprised to find that putting my computer to sleep or shutting it down was known as "installation", quite odd) They also recommended power cycling after I rebooted, which I told them in the original ticket caused the other displays to freeze. They also recommended changing a USB power/sleep setting, which is roughly 0% useful for a non-USB device. So their support is just as good as the product for doing what you'd expect, apparently. If you don't mind having to power cycle this thing every time you reboot or put your computer to sleep, it does work for getting more monitor connected to a DP output.

A gotta have tool for me
Since I run multiple monitors for design & creation work, this is a well needed tool. It works excellently. One display port gives me 4 seamless monitors of work space. Very affordable and it's rock solid. Thank you!PS - It seems few people know that if they have a display port or HDMI port on their computer this is all they need to create a matrix (MST). No software is needed because HDMI 1.2 is already made for it.

Very finicky device, mostly does what it says but only when it wants to
With the right video adapter, you can in fact Connect Four HDMI Display Devices to a single DisplayPort. However, it should be noted that the slightest static shock such as from getting out of your own computer chair often causes all of the screens to go blank. The computer thinks they are still there, but no video is output until you press the little reset button sometimes several times. If you were to open this device up you will find that all of the integrated circuit chips have all the numbers scratched off, which in my opinion is a sign that they don't want you to know where they Source their components or are ashamed of something. For the price, I am sure there are better products out there.
