Q: Would you buy this one for an 8 year old? I read that the children's size is too tight on some kids.

My 5, 9 & 11 year olds all have the adult size. I myself have a small head and typically buy kids size hats, but have this in an adult size and it fits great. The good thing about ordering the adult size is that your child probably won't outgrow it.

Q: Is this windproof? I am looking to wear this with a motorcycle helmet for cold weather.

Not so much. It’s warm but a cold wind will go through, especially since the face isn’t very snug

Q: What is the difference between this one and the original adult size? I am buying for an 11 year old for skiing and both look essentially the same.

The Original Turtle Fur fleece is 100% Acrylic and is our original fleece. The Chelonia 150 is 100% polyester and pills less than the Original Turtle Fur.

Q: Is the part that covers the head/face fleece lined, or is only the beck fleece lined?

The neck of this shellaclava is our wonderful warm fleece, the top is a Comfort Shell which is soft and brushed on the inside.
