I have the 8" -- it is NOT quiet at all. 75dBA at a meter when set full speed; and still 68dBA when set full minimum speed. Nowhere close to the 40dBA spec they claim.

Itll work, its not going to have that much negative pressure to burn it out. Plus you have a ventilation system that pushes positive air into the house. This is waaay more than the negative pressure that this would pull say out of a grow tent or something similar.

Q: Are these fans consider explosions proof ?

Most definitely not. Add some zeros to the price first. Explosion proof is a serious rating for which one must pay.
