I also bought two batteries from this same company that were supposed to be 1000 mAhall 3 came in the same plastic envelope which was poorly packed.None of the 3 batteries actually had ANY rating on them.Now my 2 old batteries were from 2003 and were 600 mAh.One of my old 8 yr old batteries charged in this charger lasts longer than these new ones.So the batteries are just ok, imo. The charger is just dandy and works fine and is fast. Their shipping could use some improvement.Over all, not a bad deal at all if you need a charger and a functioning battery for the price which is why it gets 5 stars

The charger takes 45 minutes when starting with a dead battery. The LED changes from red to green when it's done. Something is wrong If the light is red after an hour. I deducted one star because the battery fits so loosely, it would fall out in a vertical position such as a wall outlet. It must be plugged into a power strip. The charger is compact enough to carry in a camera bag. It is so cheap, I bought two so I'd have a backup.Update: One charger quit working after being left plugged in for a month without a battery in it. I recommend unplugging the charger when not in use.

We upgraded our camera a few years ago from the Coolpix 8700 to the P90. We were looking through some old photos and realized that the 8700 took excellent pictures, and that we missed using it. The picture clarity is even better than the Nikon Coolpix P90. We needed to revive our 8700 having lost the data transfer cable and the battery. This unit gave us something that we didn't have before - the ability to charge the camera in the car! Perfect!

i received this combo today and was very disappointed. the battery is fine but the charger was defective. the charger does not turn off when its supposed to and fried my nikon en-el1 battery. the sticker started 2 melt off and the the battery was bloated. The smell is terrible even after hours has past. I tried 2 charge the new battery and it started to do the same thing but I just pulled the battery before it was completely fried.I recommend buying a used mh-53 nikon charger and save yourself the hassle of frying your expensive battery and possibly damaging your camera.If you do decide to buy this charger, keep a watchful eye on the charger to make sure it does not overcharge/burn your equipment.On a depleted/partially charged battery the charger should be red while charging and turn green when charging is complete. If you excede 2 hrs of charging you will begin to notice a burning smell and the battery will get hotter than it ever has before. If you wait for the light to turn green (3 or 4 hrs) you will have effectively fried your battery and it will not work at all.Battery is ok but avoid this charger. I will be contacting the seller and see if we can resolve this in a reasonable way.update 8/14/12: bestdealusa said they would be sending me a new charger and replace the destroyed battery.

This was advertised to fit the camera model that I have a Nikon CoolPix S4300, it does not fit at all. It is completely different in every way. What I received was a very chunky large older battery and the charger for it. It is nothing that would fit any modern camera at all.Do not waste your money unless you bought your camera many years ago. It will not work for a Nikon S 4300.

The product is more than advertised. It not only is a car charger, but has a built in 110 volt plug for use in the house. The only problem is it is difficult to insert the battery properly. I have to push it into the charger very hard and it does not make contact on the first, second, third etc try.It works, and for the price it was a great deal. Just hope it lasts a few years with the abuse I have to put it thru to make if function.

Although it didn't indicate it was, the item was on backorder when I decided to purchase this item. I was promptly informed by the seller of this matter but when they had the item in stock, I received it in great condition without any hitches.The product is as advertised. No more, no less but you honestly cannot beat the price for it.Great deal and I would do business with this seller again.

My first digital camera is still providing fine pictures and will be kept as a backup for a new smaller Canon which has far more features and resolution and zoom range. I have owned the Nikon so long now that they no longer make and sell OEM batteries so I had added the non-OEM replacement charger and spare batteries for extending the life of the Nikon 995.
