Spork is a funny word.
I had been meaning to get one of these for years to throw in my camping gear. Instead I put it in my every day bag, and I am SHOCKED at how often I use it. Having an actual utensil at your disposal if you go places like farmers markets or fairs is really quite nice. I thought the tines would be more in the way for scooping, but they're really not. It's a spork. I dunno why I'm so surprised. But having an ultra-light tool for the job that tucks away neatly is unusually helpful.

Lightweight and Won't Melt
I purchased this to replace my Light My Fire spork after it had a close encounter to the flame on my Jetboil. I have been very happy with it. It's light, it puts food in my mouth and is pretty durable. Win, win, win.

High Quality Spork, Low Quality Carabiner
DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE REGULAR LENGTH SPORK!When tasked to write a review about a spork, one must ask themselves about the 3 tenants of writing reviews on specialized eating utensils. First, how is the construction of the product (stamped, pressed, or molded). Two, the ergonomics of the utensil. Thirdly, the ability of it with its desired application or function. I find it hard to not produce a quality review of this product.Packaging: The spork came in a box not much larger than the item itself. There was a modest amount of large pocketed air bubbled wrapping paper. I was appreciative of the box and protection of the item because sometimes my package can be handled carelessly. When an item is shipped in a bubble envelope it can be given an undue amount of stress that could cause a bend. An issue like a bend in the spork would be disastrous and would surely result in a lower rating, that I know Sea To Summit would not appreciate. My apologies for the sidebar, the spork came exactly as pictured. It was held firmly in place by 2 zip ties that were carefully cut close to the locking mechanism; a detail many companies would overlook. However it was zip tied so tightly it was difficult to spork from its packaging. The spork and the carabiner did not come attached so I had to assemble that myself, be aware of that if you need to clip the spork to something immediately. I give the packaging a 4/5 stars.Construction: The spork came nearly 100% ready to use out of the box, as previously stated the carabiner was not attached at the time of purchased and delivery. The edges are smooth to the mouth and lip area with no sharp burs coming from the side, something you may see from cheaper made sporks. The spork and carabiner crafted from 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy. Its composition roughly includes 5.6–6.1% zinc, 2.1–2.5% magnesium, 1.2–1.6% copper, and less than half a percent of silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals. The T6 is the type of tempering of the allow. The specific strengths of this specific type of allow are an ultimate tensile strength of 74,000–78,000 psi (510–572 MPa) and yield strength of at least 63,000–69,000 psi (434–503 MPa). It has a failure elongation of 5–11%.The T6 temper is usually achieved by homogenizing the cast 7075 at 450C for several hours, and then ageing at 120C for 24 hours. This yields the peak strength of the 7075 alloy. The strength is derived mainly from finely dispersed eta and eta' precipitates both within grains and along grain boundaries. It is a wonderful allow that more products should be made out of. The alloy is also anodized which helps improves its longevity. The carabiner does not seem to have the same build quality of the spork. The metal clip that snaps the gate closed has somehow been moved to behind the gate so it now swings freely. Construction also gets 3/5 stars because of the low quality carabiner.Ergonomics: The anodization of the product creates a matte finish with a subtle rough feel when placed in the mouth or hand. The ridge down the spine of the spork is excellent for those with average to slender fingers. The ridge creates a nice spot for the lateral nail fold of the finger. The ridge is not so pronounced that prolonged spork use can cause hand fatigue. It is just enough for the lateral nail fold to be resting comfortably. The heat does not transfer throughout the entire spork. If you get food from a hot bag the spork will not be unnecessarily hot. The spork is ambidextrous so all can take enjoyment out of it. Ergonomics recieve a 4/5Function: The spoon part of the spork can hold close to half a teaspoon of liquid. It is enough to enjoy a bag of dehydrated macaroni and beef while getting both meat and broth in a bite. The fork section of the spork makes it easy to roast marshmellows or spin some spaghetti around. The spork has the added benefit of being able to use as a crude cutting device. It can ripe apart a piece of chicken breast or cut through a potato if required. Function receives a solid 5/5.TLDR: Carabiner is cheap and will break, spork has an interesting feel to it but its a high quality utensil that will last a lifetime.

Great for backpacking
Super light as described. It comes with a perfectly sized carabiner for it and came in handy while backpacking. The long handle is perfect for those freeze dried food packages to keep you from having to paw food out of the bottom with a shorter handle or space saving utensil.

Perfect Spork!
I use this everyday for breakfast and lunch at work. It is compact, lightweight, and easy to clean. The fork handles a mouthful, and the spoon is great for scooping up milk with cereal.I'd recommend this to anyone for camping, travel, and everyday use.

grainy
I wished it were smoother texture. Works great, extremely light just gives you that camp dirt on your spoon feel to the mouth. My kid loves it.

New favorite utensil
I like this spork so much I've added it to my daily carry in my backpack. I've always disliked plastic utensils at work and always loose flatware from home. With this I can use the included mini carabiner to clip it to my bag and it's always with me.So far it's the perfect size to fit in all yogurt containers I've run into. It isn't the most effective fork you've ever used so that takes a little getting used to.The logo and writing on the handle is wearing off quite quickly, as you may notice in the picture.
