12" Shiitake Mushroom Log Grow Your Own Amazing Edible Mushrooms

Been messing around with mushrooms for a little while now from several other vendors with great results . No growth after a full month from this one. I guess I can just throw this in the fire pit now. Quite the expensive piece of wood. I looked to try and contact the seller, but there’s no contact info on the listing anywhere. Be great if they could make this right. I’ll edit my review accordingly.

Nice product and came exactly as described. No mushrooms so far, but we are hopeful.

I think the sprinkler water, which has chlorine in it, may have prevented it from growing. Also, I tried growing it in Las Vegas, outside, in the winter. I will never know if was dead to begin with or if I killed it.

Lovely log. Nice bark, evenly sawed ends. No mushrooms after several months. Not a one, ever, despite being outside in a typical warm and wet Houston spring. Go buy 8 packages of shiitakes at the grocery story and you will be doing much better for the same amount of money.

Unfortunately, the log did not produce any mushrooms even though we followed the directions. However, the company issued a prompt full refund upon request.

I would give this product another star if I could. I love this log so much I don't know where to start. The log came not only fully completed but it was also time stamped a year old. All I had to do was drop the log in an ice bath the day I received it and 10 days or so later I was picking and eating mushrooms. The top and the bottom of the log were sealed in wax to keep in humidity and moisture and the log was the perfect size. I just sat it in a plastic bowl on my coffee table after the dunk and it became the center piece for many conversations in my home. Thank you 2funguys I will be ordering more in near the future.

We followed the very simple instructions and nearly a year later.... not a single mushroom. A huge waste of money.

did not get much growth and I bought two of them. Only produced six mushrooms between the two logs.
