Not used on a cavapoo but used on a husky with great success , I definitely recommend this item for any animal

i would think so. The rubber bristles are quite hard though. I never used it this way. I wanted something to get the mud off my dog after a walk. Iv since invested in a hose that connects to utility tap so now he gets a warm shower and I clean him off with microfibre type glove.
