My husband wanted a bigger umbrella and this is perfect for him. And he’s a big John Deere collector so the logo was a plus.

West Chester John Deere JD100UM Umbrella, Black, 60 in, Pongee, Automatic Opening with Fiberglass Ribs, Green Metal -This is hands down the best umbrella I've ever used. I anticipated it being a quality umbrella given the price point and John Deere items or branded items are generally good. This far exceeded those expectations though. First off this is not a compact umbrella. This is about as full size as you get. Despite the size, it's not all that heavy. That would normally have me concerned with quality but you can feel the quality here. The fiberglass pole is very well done and I love the color of green they chose. The support beams that hold it open have some flexibility but are strong as well. It also has two velcro straps since it is so large.This is the first umbrella I have felt keeps me entirely dry. It's huge when open and it could very well fit two people under it. I'm a bit bigger so for me it's perfect.Pros-High-Quality fiberglass frame. The use of fiberglass was very smart because it makes this so much lighter than it would have been otherwise.Lightweight, again due to the fiberglass.Huge coverage area. I was shocked by how dry I was during these past few storms.The green fiberglass coloring looks great. I love how it looks against the black cloth they used. It really stands out.The mechanics are very smooth. The button and opening/shutting feels fluid but sturdy.The price is fair for this kind of quality. I'm a little surprised. I figured it was fairly priced for a decent umbrella but for this size and quality, it's a good deal.Cons-This is a very minor thing but the way it folds back up more when I'm going to close the velcro straps it almost doesn't feel even and it feels like the straps are too long. Again very small and could be me getting used to it.Overall I think this is a fantastic umbrella. It is very large though. It comes past my waist if I stand it straight on the floor. It's skinny though when folded. I'm impressed with the coverage area this provides. I don't get a drop of rain on me. The design is great in terms of looks as well.

Good umbrellas. They are bigger than all the umbrellas I ever had. A bit heavier too. Good for strong men, not so much for ladies.

I got this for our family since late last year our 4 yo started early learning classes in which my husband and I take him to every morning where we have to park and then walk him up to the door. Well I knew the weather at some point would call for rain and we tried the other kinda travel umbrellas and that didn't end up working for us my husband ended up picking our son off and making a mad dash to the car. When I got this I intended to get it for all 3 of us to walk under and if I am honest and for quick ref my husband is 5ft 8 180 lbs I am 280 lb 5ft 4 our son is about waist high and 34 lbs we can all 3 fit under there but the water will fall on our shoulders in ref to fitting under the umbrella now if its just either me and our son or my husband and our son that works great and the best. Overall thou when it comes down to performace this def does the job it feels very sturdy, it's easy to hold with a nice grip, it opens and closes pretty smoothly in comparison to other types of umbrellas we've tried in the past and its def one we use as often as the need calls for it. It is def a bigger umbrella of course but I throw it in the back seat with our son and go.

We like John Deere equipment so we figured this would be a tough umbrella.The umbrella is Big, and the Handle is like a checkered silicone comfortable to hold.When open it does not snap open, or closed with a snapping sound. But it seems to stay open.When this is open on the top is a cover that is a bit open that protects you from the rain, but keeps theThis umbrella from blowing away, I hope!It’s a great umbrella for more then two people as it’s 60 inches , and if you have 4 children they can walk with youAnd stay dry, also pushing a stroller etc.This Can be used to keep the sun off you just sitting outside, or taking a summer walk, or watching the kids sports events.I don’t care for gaudy etc, but I think instead of the John Deere logo on this being dark gray, witha black umbrella it Should have been the regular John Deere Green Logo.Although maybe it is more classy in the gray.

Now this is an umbrella! Never in a million years would I expect to be impressed by improvements made to an umbrella, but I am absolutely am. The rectangular design is so smart!!! It provides so much more protection and coverage than the standard round. We live in Northern Wisconsin (where the weather is brutal) and I walk our dogs 4-5x a day. I love that this is big enough to cover all of us. This umbrella itself is really sturdy too. It feels incredibly well made and like it should last us for years. It folds up is surprising small and is very easily to store. The only thing I didn't love is that it doesn't have a wrist strap (I took one off an old purse and fashioned one of my own). But I still love this umbrella and would purchase another one in a heartbeat. Also, saving this link as an idea for Father's day or other hard to shop for person. It's unique and useful; and I simply love giving this type of gift!!!

Great umbrella! Rubberized and textured grip. Rubber nub at the tip. Strong fiberglass poles. Opens tight and effortlessly with one hand. Has vents that overlap a good deal. Opens wide, 44" at widest point, somewhat square-ish. Stylish without being too loud. Reflective logo on 2 sides of canopy.My one gripe is the catch when closing it. It fights engagement and has to be forced to click locked. Not terrible and may get easier when broken in. I also fear it may be the weak point of this umbrella. None the less, I really like this umbrella and will keep it a 5 stars unless that changes.
