I wrote this review first (then changed it to a 5 stars- read below):“Looks great and when I set it up first after charging I was very impressed: different lighting nuances from low to strong and I like how it looks.That said, after a whole evening when it had to shine , I charged it again and it went off. Turns out it cannot charge properly for a reason.Would have liked to exchange it for a new one but I am now outside the return period.”Then, I got in touch with Tubicen customer support and they answered immediately. Not only did they apologized for the issue but they also immediately refunded the item AND sent me a new one right away! Talk about customer delight!!I am super happy with my new lamp (the old one really had an issue though now that I see that the little charging light lights up on this one) and will definitely buy more from the company, given the chance.

We suffer many electricity outages so I bought different lanterns for everyone to use. I'm looking for my favorite product. Out of the many lanterns I bought, this is by far the best looking one. It is sturdy, and sleek. It puts off a warm light and has 4 light settings. The lanterns lasted about 12 hours on the medium setting. The only thing I do not like is that there are no charge lights to let you know if it is fully charged. You just charge it for 8 hours and put it up for storing. The other thing - turning it on wasn't intuitive. Once I figured it out it is nice. It is a touch lantern - the nob on the top of the lantern, lightly touch it and it comes on. Touch it 3 more times and it brightens each tap. Then it will turn off on the last long tap. You will not be disappointed. Out of 4 lanterns it is my favorite soft light.These are great great gifts for campers or parents that need lighting around the house at night when going to the restroom.

I live in an area (Bay Area) thst experiences frequent blackouts due to overhead electrical problems (PG & E utility). I must have access to substitute lighting quickly. I own 3 of these lamps - the best I have ever used. The light is bright yet defused. The charge is long. So much better than predecessors I purchased at big box hardware store. The handle makes moving the lamps around so easy. Perfect for me.

We came across this light when we were dining at a restaurant in Maui. I looked up the name and bought one before we even left the restaurant. The different light settings are perfect for creating any mood. The design is pretty, and the quality of the lamp is terrific.It doesn’t take long to charge and the charge lasts quite a while.We’ve had ours for 3 years and I just bought two more for other areas.

Probably the most useful battery lamp I've found on Amazon so far. I have a rooftop in NYC with no lights so needed something convenient to carry and put on a table. Gives decent light at highest setting, more so than smaller lights I've bought in the past. Construction is decent I like the carrying handle that feels like it'll last a long time.I'd buy on sale more so in the $40 range. I think paying $50 or more is too much.

We ordered the white lantern. This lantern is nice for a few reasons. It's charge lasts a long time and when you touch to turn it on it starts at the lowest brightness. This works for us who needed it for waking and walking around with baby in the middle of the night.However, we are returning this lantern because of a huge design flaw. To turn the lantern off, you have to push the top and cycle through all the brightness settings, thus blinding yourself and anyone else around in the middle of the night. Shame because it's the best quality and priced lantern on the market right now besides this terrible design flaw.Edit: Great customer service! After leaving the above review, the company contacted me and offered to send the black lantern free of charge. The black lantern shuts off from any brightness mode by holding down the top for 2+ seconds. This is perfect and exactly what we were looking for, thanks!

Bought this lamp (white/brass) when it was on sale during Black Friday, worked perfectly for the 1st month, then suddenly stopped working - won't charge or light up. Always used indoors next to my bed.After explaining the situation to an Amazon rep, they offered me a refund but with a restocking fee. They would not budge on the restocking fee, but I was able to get them to give me Amazon credit for the fee cost. Highly recommend everyone who had the same experience to get their money back from this scam company!! Better off, avoid buying in the first place. (I was tempted because I first saw this item on MoMA's website, but it's not worth the hassle!)
