Best in class
What an impressive product in concept, design and build quality. I like it much better than the Garmin Edge 130 Plus thanks to its simpler user interface, its software which is easier to use and more reliable, and their customer support which is far better than Garmin in my experience. Highly recommended.

Great lightweight bike computer
After being in the Garmin (Edge 130) universe I hated paying $300 for a new Edge 530. This is light and has long battery life. Really enjoy the backlight and have used for several early rides with no daylight. Don’t love the Bryton Active app, but it’s functional. Navigation is simple here but just as good as the Edge 130. Supports workouts, seems okay here in the couple of times I’ve used that. Relatively easy to push maps to this device from Ride with GPS. Has all the power meter readings I need.

Great Computer
Read through the one star reviews and I disagree with them all. The battery is fine, the time zone can be changed, can use metric/imperial, and uploading routes is fine. The turn by turn directions can be a little bit behind at times but if you're reading street names this isn't a problem. I use polarized glasses but I can see the screen fine during the day and night. Connects to my power meter, cadence sensor, and heart beat monitor without any problem. The interfaces can be a bit confusing so it's worth investigating the menu on the computer/app at first.

Second Bryton
I previously owned the 520 but it was run over, long story my mistake! Had this model for awhile and do a LOT of cycling, syncs with strava too. Great for the money, also like when it tells you to delete your rides due to ‘disk’ being full. It’s an automated process.

Lousy customer support
Purchased this product and downloaded the associated Bryton Active app. Use of the app required setting up a user account which required verification of the account email. Back office support emails were not getting sent to me for this purpose so I tried to verify my email by direct communication with Bryton customer support. They refused to do so saying they couldn't for information safety reasons. Their only solution for me was for me to create a new email account solely for the purposes of setting up an account with them.

Cheaper than a Garmin yet does almost the same thing
Been using Bryton for over 6 years (Rider 15, Rider 15neo, and now Rider 420). It interfaces easily with my smart phone which links the data to by Bryton account (viewable on a PC) which can be setup to then link to a Strava account. Costs less than a Garmin as I don't need the map/route features on the Garmin just the dat from my ride.
