Great quality, would buy again
I was hesitant to get this because the last time I bought this in pink, my friend struggled to get the pink residue off all the way. I bought the gray this time and it worked great. It covers every mark and is a solid gray color across. If still wet, you can add more, but once it's dry, adding more can take some of it off instead (like most paints work). You'll need more layers on joints and places that get touched a lot, I think I ended up with three layers on the hands, one layer on the arms, and I did a second layer on top of the scar makeup so it matched the skin better, you can see the makeup underneath. I did make-up on top as scars and when I washed it off, the makeup had stuck to my arm somehow (it's waterproof), but the paint itself came off completely and didn't dye the skin at all. It didn't stick to the counter or sink either. It's a lighter grey when wet, darker once it dries. I tested it on the arm and face and it was the same for both. Other face paints wash off with it, just the waterproof makeup stayed on. I used liquid glue on the nails to be easier to get off just in case, but I might do the surrounding skin too, it's slightly difficult to get out of the tiny crevices there.

Comes off easily, may not last all night
Never used body paint before, and I'm sure there was a better way to apply it than "slather it on like sunscreen."But that's what we did, and we were able to quickly and easily cover everything up. The stuff dried fast, and for about 3-4 hours was just fine-- didn't come off to the touch, didn't rub off in normal usage. As the night wore on, the stuff started to shed and flake. After 6 hours, it was bad enough that the person holding the party reports they're still finding residue.Throwing on a sweatshirt for a 30-minute drive home was enough to rub almost 75% of the paint from my torso.Virtually all of this came off in the shower just by standing under the water, and a simple shampoo and washcloth got all the rest.If you've no idea what you're doing, and just want a fast way to paint up, this stuff will get the job done without leaving you a weird color for a week.Just be aware that it's got a limited shelf life, and any contact with water will cause it to start coming off.

Garden statue approved đż
I used this for my Garden Statue outfit for the Renaissance Festival and it held up pretty well! I will be buying the creme stick next time for a "smoother" application. I had to go over my makeup several times with a brush/sponge combo to get it to stick properly. I'm overall impressed! âșïž

honestly the best foundation iâve ever used
looked like i had just applied my makeup after wearing it for 12+ hours. iâve never had a makeup look so good after that long i was soooo surprised. itâs very full coverage, only problem is if you wear it for a long time, youâll scratch your face once and itâll wipe off a little but thatâs on you to not touch your face as much. i wore it with an oompa loompa costume and it was perfect (see picture)

Flaked and rubbed off
I chose this product because I was hoping it would help me achieve the drippy black goo effect that I needed for this costume, but was never able to wear or possibly apply it correctly. The first image is from my initial make-up test. I applied it very thickly and without a ton of care. You can see it already started to flake and this was literally just me applying the paint and then taking selfies in my bathroom, so not a ton of wear. I assumed it was because I had applied it too thickly perhaps, and made notes for next time. The second pic is the first convention that I wore this to. I took more care when applying it to my face and had primer on underneath, but it still started to flake. The goo on my neck and arms was achieved by just pouring the paint over my neck and limbs in the bathtub and letting it drip down my arms naturally. I sealed it with a pretty expensive Kryolan fixing spray and thought that would help, but it was still VERY flaky and I was that cliché body paint rookie mess that you don't want near your costume or your artwork at the con, haha. The third pic is from a second con, on my way home. I had applied it more thinly and used a brush to paint on all the drippy shapes, but it still flaked as much as it did at the first con. I used Sephora primer and the Kryolan fixing spray on my face, but only the body paint and fixing spray on my arms. I'm out of ideas to salvage this and am now searching for a different body paint product to use for my next wear in a few weeks.I will note that some other reviews mentioned they had better luck with this product if they mixed it with their regular make-up foundation or a body lotion, but I wouldn't be able to do that for this costume because 1) I need the color to be as pure, dark, and opaque a black as possible, and foundation would dilute both the color and texture. 2) This isn't an all-over application, so I can't just rub it on. I'm acknowledging these two points because this might be specific to my costume needs and the black color, which is why I still gave the product 3 stars even though it didn't work for me.That said, I'm not sure it would be possible to still get the coverage needed if someone was buying the black paint for an all-over application by mixing it with lotion and applying it thinly. In the first pic, the initial make-up test, you can see that I applied it very thinly around my eyes, and as a result it's much more sheer. This is something that I imagine would be less important if you were trying to paint yourself into a green troll or a red devil or something and still wanted some natural gradation in that color (eg., lighter on your cheekbones, perhaps). So if you're not looking to be completely pitch-black and are okay with some sheerness, it might be okay.It also didn't stain my skin and was fairly easy to remove (though I did go through a ton of wipes in the process), which is notable for such a thick and heavily pigmented black. It didn't stain my tub, either, though it did stain the plastic shower curtain liner.

This was PERFECT
I am so pleased with the Mehron body paint. It was SO easy to use and quick to apply. One coat offered excellent coverage, but I needed 2 coats to achieve what I wanted. It held up all day without wearing off (aside from my fingertips [I have a computer job] even the palms of my held the paint REALLY well). When it came time to wash off (over 12 hours after application), there was no staining of skin. Also, a little goes a LONG way. Would totally recommend this.
