I decided to try this product because it is a natural blend of plant based vitamin C .

This vitamin C supplement from Botanycl excels in terms of purity, quality, bioavailability and efficacy. The only thing that lets it down slightly is the dose per capsule - 200 mg of C, with instructions recommending two capsules per day, making a total of 400 mg of C. This is not nearly enough for optimal health. Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling's research showed decades ago that optimal human health occurs when the body's vitamin C levels are at tissue-saturation point, which takes several grams of vitamin C each day to achieve and maintain. Pauling's findings have been borne out by the astonishing results of intravenous vitamin C therapy, which - as the full amount of C goes straight into the bloodstream - results in much higher blood C levels than oral supplements can achieve (the only exception to this is the true liposomal liquid vitamin C supplements, which can result in blood C levels comparable to those achieved through IV therapy). Liposomals achieve this by bypassing the digestive system and going straight into the bloodstream, thus avoiding breakdown by acids and enzymes in saliva, the stomach and the gut. The highest quality liposomal liquids are expensive, but they're worth it. As regular oral vitamin C supplements go, this Botanycl one is as good as you'll find in terms of quality. Its blend is well thought out: the manufacturer has selected plant ingredients that work in synergy as well as being more readily absorbed than "synthetic" C, aka ascorbic acid. In these capsules the C comes in the form of the natural ingredients acerola, rosehip and camu camu berries. Additionally, there's citrus bioflavonoids and black elderberry, both of which deliver health benefits of their own, not least a valuable contribution to eye health. If you take the recommended dose of two capsules per day, the bottle (60 capsules) will last approximately a month. You could take more than two capsules a day in order to further boost your body's C levels, but that would prove an expensive way of doing so. I'll continue taking Lipo Naturals' Liposomal Liquid Vitamin C as my main C supplement, and will take one or two of these Botanycl capsules spaced out throughout the day, as top-ups. That's what I'd recommend them as: healthy C top-ups, but not a main source of C. They're just not potent enough to be used as that.

The ingredients in this Vitamin C supplement is really impressive. It contains Camu Camu, Acerola cherry 🍒 extract, rosehip extract, citrus bioflavonoids, black elderberry extract , all of which have very high vitamin C content. I'm sure of this as I'd researched vitamin C before for Covid 19 & all these (except elderberry) had come up. Further, the rest of the ingredients are plant based. I don't understand why it is 200mg which is not very high. It's recommended to take about 800mg per day for Corona immunity but the daily recommendation RDA for adults is 65-90mg.The bottle says 2 per day & it contains 60 capsules, therefore it's a 1 month supply. At £18 & relatively low dosage, it's quite expensive (for this reason, I wished to give it 1 star less but it is a very high quality product).This is the finest Vitamin C supplement I've come across. I've tried many also good ones from different brands but this is in a class of its own. I'll be looking to buy more from this brand & hope they extend their range.
