Good, inexpensive solution for a poor-man's follow-focus
Excellent little focus handles... and at a much better price than all the others I've seen. It's a simple device... just strap it on to your lens and use the lever to pull-focus. Great as a cheap follow-focus mechanism for DSLR video makers... and doesn't even require a rail system! These are made of a hard plastic, and appear robust, but might also be the kind of thing that *might* shatter if it hit a hard surface. But I guess if this device, while attached to your expensive DSLR, were to hit a hard surface, you'd worry first about your DSLR. The strap is rubber, and long enough to attach to larger lenses. The largest lens I have has a 90 mm dia focus ring, anf it fits with room to spare. It doesn't need to be real tight to work either... there are gear-like teeth molded into the center section of the device, which cling nicely to the rubber or gear-toothed surface on your focusing ring.

Good economy option
Short of buying a very expensive focus control system, this is a good cheap option. I would say it is probably very expensive for what it is - a plastic handle and a rubber strip. However, the price is in the design. For what it is, it does the job well, even though it isn't the nicest looking thing. If you are looking for a cheap option to add a little more leverage to lens ring manipulation, such as focus, this is about the only good option I saw.

Not suitable for all lenses
A very good and useful item. But not suitable for all lenses like the ones with the focus thread at the edge. Cannit grip it in that case. Example canon 50 mm 1.8.

Worked as Advertised!!
I needed a way to adjust focus quickly with one hand while operating a laptop computer with the other, while the camera was attached to a tripod. This work perfectly. It was attached to a Canon 80D camera with a Tamron telephoto 35-80 mm lens. The focus wheel on this lens is narrow and can be difficult to handle when trying to focus on different parts of a scene quickly. The device is very simple in design but worked without any problems. There are notches on the inner portion of the rubber strap that perfectly meshed with the indentations on the focus wheel of the lens. This kept the lever part in place and there was no slippage. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a convenient way to quickly and precisely adjust lens focus while not holding the camera. If you are holding the camera I don't think these devices are the best solution.

Not very effective...
Shooting video is a test in multitasking—e.g., panning while zooming—and anything to make zooming or focus smoother is a welcome product. So I had high hopes for the Fotodiox Follow Focus Handles and immediately shot a couple sessions using a 15-85 3.5-5.6 IS USM on a Canon 70D.The handle is easy to attach: stretch a rubber strap around the zoom or focus ring and latch to the plastic handle. I practiced with it before the session and was able to see a slight improvement in smoothness and control. The operative word is “slight” because after a couple sessions I realized it wasn’t worth the bother over bare fingers on barrel. Plus, the rubber strap is prone to stretching and starts to slip after continuous use.So it works, is inexpensive but the improvement in smoothness is so tiny I recommend looking elsewhere.

Does what it says.
These do exactly what they say they will do and for a decent price. It was a little weird figuring out the best way to use them after not using anysort of follow focus before, but these are great for ttripod use and if you want to go handheld but don't want to use them they won't get in your way. They won't work on smaller lenses like the canon 50mm or the pancake lenses because the focus wheel is so narrow, but it works great on all of my other lenses. I keep two in my bag and the other at home as backup. They work great and I have no complaints.

focus is fine. These work great using my other Canon 10MM-55MM ...
These work really well for focus but not so much for zoom with my Canon T3i stock lense. No fault of the product, my lense seems to stick so it's not a smooth move. Here again, focus is fine. These work great using my other Canon 10MM-55MM works great for focus and zoom.

They wo...ork?
While these devices will strap to most lenses, even relatively small Micro 4/3 and will help with zoom focus control, placement is somewhat critical in that it is easy to place them in a way that causes awkward movement/hand position. The other thing I found is they are better when using a tripod as opposed to trying to zoom in/out while hand held.I doubt the plastic will tolerate much in the way of moderately rough handling -they just feel weak.Would I buy again? Probably not if I can find similarly priced handles.Fotodiox does have some good and solid products, I'm just not excited about using these.
