Great First Kitchen Set
After recently moving and throwing out much of my old pots and pans from college years, I was looking to replace them with something a bit more high quality that I could use and keep for a long time. The first thing I liked about this set was it included both a medium and large pot and pan that were the perfect size for my kitchen and the average 2-4 family meals. There is also a large casserole pot as well. The main reason for wanting a copper kitchenware set was of its ability to conduct heat evenly. This set has copper completely around the outside layer - including the bottom - which is missed in some of the other options I looked at. I initially thought I wanted an all copper pan, but soon learned that it was not good for food and could flake off over time. This set uses a stainless steel lining, that easier to take care of and stronger than something like tin. Its mentioned in the care instructions, but its important to avoid using any metal utensils on the interior and never put it on the stove with an empty pot. I've since made eggs on them many times without leaving a mark! With those considerations aide, I have defiantly noticed a difference in how it cooks more evenly (especially steaks!) and didn't have to worry about shifting things around in the pan to give it more heat. The parts themselves are quite solid, considering the handles and lids are entirely metal and riveted onto the pot/pan. They also do not get uncomfortably hot after being on the stove - this is a big advantage I noticed afterward as I would not have been able to put these in the stove had they been plastic like my previous set. Some people have mentioned the fact that copper changes and patinas, but I think its pretty visually cool looking and do not mind it at all. I know that for those concerned, you can easily get a copper polish and get back the same shine as if it was new. But either way they are a beautiful set that I can proudly display in the kitchen, now just need to put up a pot rack to really show them off!

Ahhh, YES! REAL cookware!
All of my cookware, from my place (before marriage) is still in storage. My wife already had a lot of pots and pans. But, they were all about 20 years old, badly abused and REALLY hard to work with. So, I seized the opportunity and bought a new set. And, I'm very happy with my choice. NutriChef is world known for quality. This 8 piece set is a great example of that quality. The triple cladding process is a trademark of good cookware. The copper outside conducts the heat in all directions to the inner layers. The high quality stainless steel interior is great for transferring that heat to your foods. The weight of the pans is very important, related to how well they are made and good heat conduction. The handles are all very solid and sturdy. For frying, I only used extra virgin olive oil. It only takes a little and it won't burn as easily as some other oils. Only use medium to low heat with these (or any other pans really). These pots and pans cook very well at the lower temps. And, you will find that your food actually tastes better. One more thing, this set is SO beautiful, as you can tell from my picture. I will not be putting this cookware into the dishwasher. Hand wash only. Automatic dishwasher chemicals have acids that will actually ruin the finish, the appearance and natural non-stick tendencies of the stainless steel. I am very happy with my NutriChef cookware. Five stars.

Love these
I've had these pans for over a year. They are fantastic still! No scratching on the surface even when I use metal utensils. The copper part isn't nice and shiny anymore, but that's ok with me. They are heavy/sturdy, and when used properly have no sticking issues.. they also clean very easily, which is always a plus in my book.

Not worth the extra cost for an insignificant “coating” of copper
Very nice on first inspection the set seemed to be substantial and sturdy pieces which I attribute to the stainless steel. The large stockpot had several areas where the copper coating either didn't adhere or was rubbed off during production. The imperfections tell me all I need to know about the copper. I understand tarnish/patina and this isn't tarnish. At first, I didn't want to have to send all the items back and risk the same situation. The chat Customer service was good but I had to reword my conversations several times to actually get anywhere. They first offered10% off and eventually gave me a partial refund of $52 as they wouldn't do a partial return and exchange, which is what I originally thought I wanted. I came to the conclusion that I will be returning this set and looking at other options. If I want any substantial form of copper cookware, it’s gonna cost! I cannot afford, justify, nor do I need (or do I?) Mauviel but I would like a few visually pleasing and useful pieces of copper cookware.

WOW!!!!!
First impression--WOW! These are so beautiful! And the quality is outstanding, I was pleasantly surprised with how heavy and solidly made they are! Way better than I expected at this price point. I look forward to the patina they will get from use, I've always admired lived in copper cookware (there are copper polishes if you dont like patina). I home cook all of our meals and have gone thru plenty of pots and pans over the years--trust me when I say these are awesome! The complaints I've seen seem to be from not understanding the cookware--every type of cookware has its own character, I highly recommend looking up each kind to understand how to cook and clean with each one to see which fits your lifestyle best. Looking forward to cooking with these!!!! And with a 1 year warranty, why not give them a try?

Beautiful
I have not cooked in these yet, for they are so beautiful I'm not ready to dirty them. I was skeptical of the $220 price on sale for less. Not now. These feel nice. They have heft and good handles. I'm excited to finally try them Friday night. Only 1 complaint: I'd paid more for a lid to the skillets.
