Rothco Tactical Cross Draw Vest

I went with the higher end vest to hopefully eliminate the chance for shotty workmanship. This was bought with self defense in mind. I'm pleased with the workmanship. It's sturdy and appears to be made well. I'm 6' at 160 lbs. I needed to tighten the six side adjusting straps up to just about max and it fits well. The holster does bounce around a bit with a Glock 19 in it. But won't go anywhere. I think if I were to be on the run it wouldn't be noticed. Large mag pouches house the AR 15 mags snugly but I think they would loosen up with use. The pistol mags are the same way. Overall I'm pleased and would recommend this vest. Oh, and I did get the tan(coyote) color. It has just a hint of green. Thought it was most versatile color able to blend in several different surroundings.

Love the vest and great quality. The only thing I was not completely happy with was the pistol holster - it was a little sloppy with my Colt 45 (i.e. moved around a lot and flopped around. This can probably be fixed with some extra Velcro or a few stitches, but would have been nice if it came more secure. Other than that, I absolutely love it - well worth the price.

Overall, this is a well made sturdy product that should fit almost everyone...short to tall and up to just shy of 300#. I am 6'6" 275# and was able to get the perfect fit using the side and shoulder adjustments with some room to spare on both. It would be a 5 star product but...and the but is...the 3 chest pistol pouches came with no velcro closures which renders them utterly useless. I am deducting 2 stars for that and will ask the seller and/or Rothco why? If they can send me the velcro closures I will update it to a 5.

Nice Rothco! The only reason I did'nt give it a 5; is because the firearm holster. When the firearm is in the holster, the holster pulls away because of the weight. I personally like to sit snug to the vest. But I'm finding out the most tactical vest are the same way. However, with just a little savvoy, it's snug now.

I've purchased a few of these ROTHCO Vest in different colors and every one has been great. The stitching is solid, the hook and loop fastenings are perfect for my run and gun needs. It has a MOLLE system on the front and back as well which has been useful more than a few times.Sizing is easy too. hook and loop for the shoulders and pull straps for the sides. Despite having a mesh base for ventilation, after multiple field uses, the webbing still hasn't frayed or torn.In my opinion, this is a very solid product overall.

Vest seems very tough and rugged. Plenty of room for AR and Glock mags. Glock 19 fits good in the holster, at first it sagged but I just looped it though another piece of the webbing and now it fits very tight and close to the body. I am 6'3 and 189 lbs and with some simple adjustments the vest fits perfect. I would recommend this product if someone wanted a solid vest for the money.

I don't know what some of these other reviewers are using this vest for, probably paint ball, but this tactical vest is utterly useless for anything else. I opened my package and my first though was "Why is there no side arm holster?". Apparently the holster is not included with this product. Then I started playing around with it to see what magazines would fit in the pouches. The top pouches would only hold a third of a standard Glock Magazine and the lower pouches were to narrow to fit even a AR-15 magazine. The vest in the picture also has covers for its ammo pouches. The vest that was sent to me does not. Bottom line is, if you're looking for something to play paint ball in this vest will probably suit your needs. If you are building a bug out kit or zombie kit, you are definitely going to be disappointed with this vest. I expected much better from Rothco.

Nice construction, but the size is for small and medium guys. As a fit 5' 11" 235lb guy, this is a tight fit at the largest expansion. I'll keep for future trade or sale.
