This is just as advertised, but if you don't love the taste of turmeric and want to "hide" it in a smoothie, this isn't for you. A powder, maybe. Otherwise, this is just as expected in size, texture, color and taste.

I don’t make a whole lot of time for reviews these days, but this product impressed me. It’s not always easy for me to find fresh turmeric root where I live, although I’ve been known to order it by the pound to be delivered by my mail lady! This gives me the benefits and taste of fresh turmeric without the effort. I simply don’t love powdered turmeric as much as fresh. My first use of this was a simple turmeric protein milk made with a TBS of this paste, 1 TBS of bloomed beef gelatin, pinch of salt, boiling water, stevia, and raw milk. I didn’t even add other warming spices yet and it was wonderful. It makes me feel good! I added this to my subscriptions:)

I add it to practically any soup I make - but especially like it in sopa de ajo (with a pinch of saffron). I don't use a lot of it - and it says to consume within 3 months of opening - so I poured it into a ziplock bag, flattened the bag, and froze it. When I need some turmeric for a recipe, I simply break off a frozen piece.

I saw no benefit to the product

Perfect for smoothies, soups, and more! Definitely elevated my cooking.

I purchased not knowing the limitations.. There is no warning it cannot be taken with many medication including diabetic and acid reflux… And it is not returnable…
