A well needed grab
This is an excellent if not absolute for the initiation into people watching, as it is a substantial introduction into the subject matter that is highly beneficial for any animation student dealing with characters, and artist wishing to capture the true human emotion, and understanding their true meaning behind their behavior and bodily language enabling them to do as such with more ease. On top of that this would be great for writers to will to get a better understanding of their characters or desiring a visual interpretation of them. Just remember it is a little dated and societies and cultures may have changed, evolved, or took different turns in the meanings mentioned within. It is excellent for the time period, and most preferably supplemental for today, as it also explains the nature of life involving past, present, and future connotations to awake one to the aforementioned warning. Finally, it provides a plethora of reference material and resources to further ones study or isolate a subject, as well as provides a means for an imaginative generation of further unknowns calling for the need of completed studies that would be beneficial to the field if embarked upon. Great pictures to look on.

Great Book
If you are like me, one of those people who always took others at face value only to be unpleasantly surprised, this book will be a great help. The author points out small behaviors that reveal important things about people. When I was midway through this book, I had dinner at a restaurant and noticed a couple sitting across from us. The conversation they were having was very ordinary, but I noticed a lot of little behaviors that told a different story entirely. It was really amazing. The writer is very clear and readable and I enjoyed the book very much.

This ancient tome is as up-to-date as something published today
I like the YouTube channel "Behavior Panel." On one episode the Brit held this up and said it was the first book he purchased in the field of surveillance/observation psychology, published in the '70s if I remember now. My daughter works for some alphabet federal agency that likes to chat up potential customers and complained she didn't get enough training in interrogation techniques. I immediately thought of this and got it for a Christmas gift. She loved it. There you go.

Essential for Security Professionals
This book is the definitive guide to becoming a practicing observationalist. It details human gestures across a broad spectrum of history, regions, and nationalities. It is essential reading for those that should know how to 'read' body-language. Most communication individuals engage in on a daily basis is non-verbal, especially when an individual seeks to conceal their intent. This book details and diagrams definitive examples that communicators and audiences engage in, and having this knowledge and how to apply the use of the information gives the reader a significant advantage in daily life.
