Does the job
Worked just fine with my Yaesu FT7900R. Plug fit was very tight and difficult to get out once it was in there, but that allowed me to program my radio using chirp which is exactly why I purchased it.

Works as advertised on Yaesu FT7900R/E
Great value because of quality of materials. I have a bunch of these type of cables to program Baofengs, TYT, BTech, ICOM, Kenwood and now Yaesu. Most use the same Prolific USB driver which is well-supported under Win. Very easy to use as it is consistent with all the other prgmmg cables' instructions. I prefer to use the freeware CHIRP from DanPlanet rather than OEM software so I won't comment on the OEM supplied software. Yes, I would buy again/

Good product
It’s good for the price. I had a few glitches while trying to use it, but I was able to program all my radios.I Had a few issues where I would have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work, but I did get it to work and everything works fine.

WORKED GREAT WITH CHIRP SOFTWARE AND YAESU FT 8900
I used the "Chirp" software and this cable to program my Yaesu FT-8900 radio. The entire process came off without a hitch and was completed quickly. The drivers were already on Windows 7 Pro no need to use the disc that came with the cable. It would depend on your individual setup.

Does not work with Yaesu FT-7100
I have connected the cable to my computer and I'm using chirp software. I select my radio and am able to download the information from the radio to the software. After making changes to frequencies in the software, I cannot upload the information to the radio. I continually get an error on the radio and an error on the screen of the computer.

You need to include a photo of the connector itself
If you had taken a photo of the end of the connector, I would have known this was not the one to fit my radio :( Most amateurs have a pretty good feel for the connectors their radio uses, so such a photo would be quite helpful, especially when trying to match off brand connectors to a radio.

Worked great
Worked perfectly on a FT-7800. No driver needed for Windows 10. Used Chirp which told me exactly what process to use and what to press/do to get it to clone and then be able to upload a new config. Worked great.
