The flavor was strong. They smelled amazing. They were packaged nicely and arrived fast.

I need these for a craft project. Unlike what was shown in the photo, this was a VERY small bag of star anise. My worst complaint is that all of them were broken ... I did not find a single complete star! Very disappointing.

I ordered these to make ornaments which include these and cinnamon sticks. The stars are mostly complete, very few broken. But I am most impressed by how fragrant they are. As soon as I opened the package I could smell them, without opening the product. Perfect! I know if I need more I will be back here to order here!

I was disappointed that the packaging for this product does not say "organic" on it anywhere, and that the verbiage on the package doesn't say anything about cooking with it. Here is what the packaging says: "Anise Star is a well known ingredient in protective and meditative incenses and is sometimes useful as a charm [!] for these purposes. It is also connected to Masculine Energy, Jupiter and Air." I bought it to make Chinese Five Spice Powder for cooking. Is the product organic like the Amazon description says, and can it be used for cooking? If so, why doesn't the package labeling specify any of this?

made chicken pho turn out very good .The reason i did not rate (scent ) i do not have a sense of smell ,never have .Good or bad .But have a very good earring .

The product was not in new condition when I received it. The product bag had puncture marks in it and it looked like it had been run over by a truck before it was prepared for shipping. I will never buy from this seller again. And the product is non-returnable.
