Q: How many strikes will the rod last for?

It's not really listed but it is close in size to one that I have that claims 1,000 strikes. These really do work nicely and the fatwood handle is of great quality. I hope this helps you in your decision.

Q: How is the ferro rod secured? it it just glue? or is it drilled thru and cross pinned? i dont trust only glue, as i use my ferro fod often

I believe the ferro rod is glued into the wooden handle. I don't see a pin that secures it. I hope this helps.
