I wanted to frame a pretty large poster with a thin wooden architrave, bought in strips from the local DIY store. Cutting the frame to size was a challenge and then trying to fit the pieces together in the clamps took a few goes. I found that getting the clamps in place first and then loosening each one in turn to glue the wood was successful. The clamps held the frame really well, considering how flimsy the wood was. I would recommend these clamps.

When I unwrapped this it looked very basic and unlikely to work well. How wrong could I be?The clamp jaws were so versatile that they could handle all the different sizes of wood I wanted including one which my friend's better looking set couldn't. They held the frame firmly enough for me to be able to paint it in their grip.Would recommend these.

Amazon choice is a farce in this case!Do not buy these. They measure at anywhere fromm 88 to 91 degrees, not 90! They are flimsy, they do not hold work square to be glued or stapled. They continually lose torque when tightened, the jaws move on their axis. Impossible to use on a flat surface as the tightening handles protrude below level of clamp. I would have returned but threw them in the recycling so amlnother customer doesn't get these incredibly poor clamps. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Very useful for smaller projects like picture frames and models.

Cheap and cheerful but did exactly what I wanted.These are perfect for occasional use. Not sure how they'd cope in a pro setting but that's not what these are for
