E-CCG20 Chain Guide, Black

I mostly ride cross country and very technical trails at old quarry-pits and such in Florida, so some look at this as unnecessary since I'm doing any big downhills. But this little gadget works really well. Minimizes chain slap, hasn't come off my 1x yet, and there's no 'ghost shifting' at all. It may not work as well with a 2x or 3x system.I ran a large zip-tie inside it so the chain won't wear through the plastic inner-bottom, but some may have other options. Not sure how easy it is to order replacement chain-guides only. my guess is you have to replace the whole thing? I also ran a medium sized zip-tie around the main rod and then around the chain stay to keep it from falling off and from putting too much pressure on the small zip-ties. So far it works like a champ and it looks cool too!

I put this on my bike according to the directions. When I first installed it on my mountain bike, it looks really nice. Had no problems going up and down my street. The next day, I took it to an actual Mountain bike trail, with the usual rock gardens, table tops, and tree roots. After a small hop on a table top in the beginning of my ride, this product broke off. Please see the picture below. This made my ride much less enjoyable. I hope that you read my review before buying this extremely weak product. I am very mad that I spent $32 on this tensioner which broke off in the beginning of my first mountain bike ride with this product. Consider alternatives before purchasing this extremely weak product.

When I got this, I kind of was thinking cheap and won't last. I've dropped my chain once since installing it and I am very happy with it! Works better than I expected and has definitely passed the durability test!

I like the whole thing. This was awesome. I put it on and a ton of noise went away and it makes it look a bit better.

Couldn't get my sons bike chain to stop falling of the gears and this saved everything!

this thing sucked. Broke instantly and was way overpriced. I bought two and sent them both back.

A few months down the road this guy is just as strong and not showing too much wear and tear. Would definitely recommend or buy again!
