Great size for a variety of meats
The size of this container is great for a variety of meats. I use it for steaks, chicken, and pork chops. Easy to pump the air out. I would like to see the handle on the pump secured better to the little piston, but overall it works fine. The vacuum seal does help to marinate the meat prior to cooking.

Easy to use and marinates so well
As always, read the reviews prior to purchasing. I did so I know that nearly every low rating is because people just popped the clamps while there was still a vacuum. Do not do this, your plastic clamps will break but that will all be on you. The valve very easily releases the vacuum if you just use it.Edit to add 9/17/24: 2 of the handles have fallen off but the box still holds its seal. Adding a small amount of oil to the port helps to hold the vacuum if your box is not filled to the top,

It's Unpredicatble On Pressure! No Guidlines!
When I Write A Review Of A Product, I Am Being Honest, Practical and Methodical. I Have Bought this Product and Have Used It.The Container will hold about 4lbs of Meat or Pork or Chicken with Your Marinade As Well.Problems:The Instructions Do Not Give you an Estimate of the Number of Pumps to Determine How Much Vacuum You Need. Or How Much Pressure Will Be Vacated With Each Pump! The Only Indication of the Atmosphere Being Removed with Each Pump Out Shows The Lid Starting To Sink. That's It! They Also provide a Disclaimer that if you Refrigerate your Food, You Should Reduce the Pressure??? How Much or How Many Pumps Back Into The Container??? No Guidelines really on Anything...To Be Fair, I Realize it is a cheap solution, but it should Function as Claimed. So Far my Pork Is Marinating as it Would in a Gallon Zip Lock Bag with the air i squeeze out if before sealing the bag. I Have No Idea How Many Pumps Should Create A Sufficient Vacuum. I Did 8-9. The Lid Is Sucked Down a Bit, But I really have no Guidelines on What I Should See or is Sufficient. Please, Tell me your Reviews of this Product? Found a much better one, cost wise?

BPA
Very poor quality. I would give this minus stars if I could. The top does not look like it will last very long after you have opened and closed it a few times. The directions even say to not take out too much air but fails to give you guidelines as to how many pumps is too much. The number one reason I returned this is that it is made from # 7 plastic so it does have BPA in it. It does have the triangle on the bottom with 7 inside it, of course they are required to do that much for us.This should have been at least somewhere in the description that it is made with #7. I would not have wasted my time and Amazon's with having to return it.I do not recommend this product.I do appreciate Amazon's easy free returns with Prime.

Good product, but only uf you follow this....
Great product, but there were some complaints about air leakage through the rubber piece on the lid. So, catch a lifehack that eliminates this problem: after closing container and sucking the air you could clearly hear air sipping in the container through that rubber valve. If so, pour some cooking oil( any oil you have on your kitchen) to the little dip on the lid where you hear air leakage. Oil is thicker than air do it seals all around the rubber valve. Im servicing an air equipment at work and using oil all the times as sealant👍

Worked once
Came quick and packaged well. I used it once and it sealed great. Kept the vacuum for a week to marinate some jerky. I hand washed it. Made sure the seal was clean as well as the edges. I let it sit in the cupboard for a couple of weeks. Took it out to use it, and it wouldn't keep a vacuum longer than a couple of hours.

weak hinges
The lid broke the second time I used it. The hinges are too weak.

Works great...love it
This is the second one I've owned. The first one I had lasted about 5 years. The snap down tabs started breaking off. I use it 2 to 3 days a week in the summer. Definitely feel i got my money's worth. This one seems to be made exactly the same. I've marinated things for over 24 hrs with no vacuum loss. It's a great size and is super easy to clean.
