CHI Original Digital Ceramic Hairstyling Midnight Matte Iron

Really like this straightener. Saves me so much time in the am or before going out compared to my previous one. Of course not adding too much hair at a time is also key.

Good quality works great

This hair straightener is fantastic! It heats up quickly and gives my hair a sleek, smooth finish in minutes. The design is user-friendly, and it's lightweight enough to handle with ease. Absolutely worth it for achieving salon-quality results at home!

The CHI digital flat iron is pretty good. It heats up quickly but you have to do multiple passes to get your hair straight. The TYMO is better. Also it pulls the hairs sometimes which is really annoying. The TYMO doesn’t do that because it’s a brush hair straightener. Also I had a CHI digital flat iron just like this one I bought a few years ago and the display on this one is different. It only lights up blue for every temperature, not different colors for the 3 different temperatures like my old one. My old one would light up blue for low temperatures, (under 300°) green for medium temperatures (under 400°) and red for high temperatures over 400°. That way I knew what temperature it was set at. Now it just lights up blue for ALL the temperature settings. That’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

Quick heat, compact for travel

I have used my old Remington flat iron for 2 years and it died on me. I used my friends CHI on vacation and was impressed by the quality, hers is 5-6 years old. CHI was recommended me to by several friends because of the quality and long lasting use. I love that this flat iron is dual voltage for travel. I ordered the CHI original and CHI G2 To compare, the only difference I noticed is the G2 has an 11 ft cord and the original has a 6.. I prefer the shorter cord. Also the G2 has color coded settings which I don’t believe is necessary- it’s just a selling point. Both flat irons heat up fast and work great however I chose to keep the original because it is a ceramic plate which is less damaging to hair over time. The G2 has titanium infused plates which can be drying and damaging to hair. My one complaint would be that I wish it had a lock feature for storage. I did reorder this on target because it was $50 cheaper… Overall I am happy with the CHI and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it!
