Excellent pumps at a reasonable price!
I love these pumps! I have used them in an outdoor aquaculture project with students and they have exceeded my expectations. I recently had a 6 year old ecoworthy solar pump finally wear out. I immediately ordered another one based on the very positive experience with the first one.

First one lasted for 2 years before failing, but work great until then
This is the second of these pumps I've purchased. The first one worked reliably for 2 years, then it failed and the plastic shaft broke. But while it lasted, it worked great and pumped more water than you'd assume for a pump this size. However, one continuing problem is that the internal filter gets clogged up and you have to remove the end cap to unclog it (and the end cap is difficult to get off of the pump). I was tempted to try a different pump when I replaced it, but I customized my filter setup for this specific pump. However, this time around I’m going to replace the plastic shaft with a stainless steel shaft and hopefully this pump will last a lot longer than 2 years.

Good powerful little motor!
I have an outdoor fountain that takes a lot of abuse, especially strong wind. This little motor delivers a lot of power, and my DIY fountain looks terrific and works great. I've used similar motors with less pump power and that was a mistake. One great thing is that its suction cups actually work. I weigh it down anyhow.

Not up to filter duty, but maybe ok as a water mover.
Died after 1 day. While it worked, it was working well, drawing just 250mA at 12VDC, A little louder than anticipated, but not loud, especially because it was submerged. But after about 26 hours, it stopped suddenly, and none of the tricks (force prime, clean intake, etc) would resuscitate it. I was pumping the water about 1 foot above the pond’s surface level through a 10 foot x 1 inch hose into the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket filled with cotton batting. Lava rocks, and pea gravel. The specs on this pump, of correct, should have been able to handle that easily.I was impressed by the number of hose attachments it changes with, including various fountain spray heads, and the one I needed (1 inch ID hose fitting) was good and snug, and the cord was plenty long. It really attached to my solar setup, so 1 extra star for those. However. I suspect that this pump is simply not beefy enough for continuous pumping through a filter. It’s probably designed more as a fountain pump that runs only during sunlight hours (I.e., directly from a solar panel, no storage). It would probably last much longer in that sort of setup.

They last for a short time.
I have bought several of these solar pumps. They only last about 6 to 9 months then I have to replace it.

Works and installs easily.
This replacement pump integrated well with the existing installation. Water flow through the fountain is adequate. The original lasted less than one year. I will see what the longevity is on this new replacement.

Bought in May
Broken by June. Difficult to clean filter. Poor quality for the price.
