Solid connection for solid pipe.
What a great little plug! So, first off, this didn't fit, haha, but that's totally on me for ordering the wrong size. I still tested it on the proper size pipe, and it a nice solid fit even just hand tightened. It could stand to seat I little deeper, but that's just my opinion based on wanting to use this with a pool hose, overly specific use. Shipping was fast, ordered Sunday evening, got it tuesday! Highly recomended. Now, to doing the right size...

Used for flood prevention
Our basement drain started backing water into the house during storms or flooding so we purchased this to seal off the floor during heavy downpour. We haven't had to use it yet but it fits very tight. Will update after use.

Wrong size
Was the wrong size.....this thing was huge 6" or so. Said it was 1 1/2" nope. Very disappointed.

Cheap rubber washer
I use this on my boat. They were a replacement for a set that I bought somewhere else. The rubber washers are hard and it makes removing them difficult.
