Beautiful and well-crafted.
For the price, I was expecting quite a bit from this chess set — and it exceeded expectations.The detailed woodwork and inlays are gorgeous and topped with a deep-gloss lacquer. The construction is solid. The pieces have heft.It’s a pleasure to use and to look at.Highly recommend.PS: It will smell strongly of varnish when first unboxed, but that will disappear after 12-24 hours.

OMG what an absolutely wonderful chess set!
I almost never leave a review, but this chess set looked so nice! It was well packed and comes in a nylon carrying case that I didn't even know about. Can't wait to play my first game on this gorgeous chess set!

Great gift but…
So got this set for my sons 8th birthday. He loved it but one of the pawns was missing/broken axe. Not a huge deal but for the money wish it was perfect.

Good solid construction, made a great gift for my older son who has been obsessed with chess over the last few years.Highly recommend as a gift for someone who likes chess with a medieval or fantasy flair, but wouldn't otherwise purchase a nice set for themselves.
