Outside packaging a let down
I'm not a collector of these dolls. I have a few second hand ones bought online that were from my Childhood Era.My Mum could never afford the real ones but I was delighted to receive the cheaper copies - now called Clones I believe. (Wish I had kept them) :-(I have them on display in my Craft Room. I have always fancied the Original Barbie even though it was Sindy that was from my day. (I managed to buy a brand new copy of Sindy a few years ago for less that £10) I decided to Treat myself to this Doll to add to my display.Well it was delivered next day with the Address Label & other Labels/Stickers stuck to the Original Mattel Brown Box Packaging. I was thinking of contacting Amazon but as I was not thinking of selling on I didn't bother. Perhaps I should have as my Granddaughters may want to. The actual Doll Packaging was in perfect condition inside but for serious collectors the outside packaging may be just as important so bear that in mind.The Doll itself: Its OK I suppose, nothing great but one thing that needs attention are the Sun Glasses. They just don't want to sit on the dolls nose/face. No matter what angle. I was thinking of using tiny Dots of White or Blue Tak but not sure if it would damage the surface of the Doll. For the time being I put one leg of the Glasses down the front of her bathing suit so they are on display too...
