Top quality product!
This is a well built product from a company that obviously cares about what they manufacture. This is a simple adapter cable to convert a 4.4mm plug down to 2.5mm. It arrives very well packaged inside a heavy ziplock bag, which is itself placed inside a foam lined tin. That tin is then placed in bubble wrap, then inside its outer box. It's obvious they want their product to arrive intact and to impress when opened. It certainly does. The product itself is high quality, with gold plated plugs and a nylon mesh protected cable, and it works exactly as expected, with solid connections when plugged in and great sound with no noise, no static, etc. If this is the item you're looking for, you won't go wrong here!

Strongly built, looks nice
Very well built. I keep it in my mobile kit. I've used it three times so far. Good fit, well made. No sound change or loss in quality. Would make a good small gift for someone just starting to get into high grade portable audio.

A bit heavy but built well
The Pentagon adapter is a bit heavier than I would have liked for use with an OEM. It tends to sag a bit and weigh everything down when using it on the go with a BTR5. For desktop use this would be great but there arent many desktop amps that use the smaller balanced connections anymore. I think that most people getting this are using it for Bluetooth adapters and dongle DACs so a lighter adapter would make more sense.Other than that I have no complaints. The build quality is solid and the materials feel amazing. Both of the connectors are metal and feel very durable, even though they are heavy. Overall I would buy it again.

Just what I needed
I hate that there are 2 different "standards" for balanced audio input. But here we are, and I have both, so I needed a 4.4 to 2.2 adapter. This one is inexpensive, and well built. Good buy.

Not so many years ago................
Not so many years ago digital audio devices came with 3.5mm single ended and 2.5mm balanced connections. Then the 4.4mm came on the scene and all my aftermarket IEM got cables upgraded to the new plug end to work with my newer iBasso DAP. But I still had enough devices like FIIO BTR5 that wouldn't accept the 4.4mm plugs so I needed an adapter and this one looked like it would fit the bill. And it works just fine but it is just one more thing I have hanging off my cable and just one more thing to keep track of. Oh well, such is the price for progress I guess.

Well worth the money
This is very well made and has been working perfectly for me in the couple of weeks I've been using it. It has enabled me to use the stock cable that came with my HD800s headphones to listen to my Astel & Kern SR25 player. Much less expensive than buying another cable and now I don't have to switch cables to use my Matrix headphone amp.

Useful for using a balanced Sony headphone cable with a 2.5 mm headphone socket
Works just fine with Astell and Kern Kann Kube, so would work with just about anything that uses the Astell and Kern pinout. Please note that I have not done a pin to pin check, so it's possible that phase reversal or even channel reversal is happening. I don't regard either of these as particularly important as long as the channels are in phase with each other. Bottom line: I can use the Sony balanced cable with my Kann Kube just fine when listening to Sony MDR-Z1R. There are improvements in sound over the single-ended Sony cable alone.

Very sturdy!
A very decent balanced adapter! I have bought another one before this one from another company, and I could only hear out of one channel at a time and the Pentaconn connector stuck out quite a bit... There aren't any noticable issues with interference, or any degradation of sound. The most affordable way to go balanced without having to buy One-hundred dollar cables!
