This version of the Tarang is like an inexpensive guitar
It's not as well made as it could be. The mechanical mechanism of pegs for tuning the strings (guitarists call this assembly "the Machine" on regular guitars) had she pegs that were very loose, and wouldn't stay in position when I turned some strings, resulting in several of the pegs constantly slipping and severely de-tuning the strings, no matter how carefully I tuned those strings. I had to take the whole instrument into a local acoustic luthering-repair shop to have the machine re-built from scratch so that ALL the strings would STAY in tune once I tuned them. It's okay now, at least for the time being, but more care and precision could and should have gone into making the tuning mechanism more solid that it was. Some of the highest notes are a bit out of tune due to less-than-precise placement of the highest keys, but if you play them fast enough, they're not extremely noticeable with played with other instruments. Most of the middle and lower keys are in tune when pressed. This version of the Tarang is like an inexpensive guitar. It costs less that a top-of-the-line guitar, but you get only what you pay for, and so don't expect perfection in the tuning if you buy this model. If that's critical for you, pay a few hundred more and buy a better version of the instrument to begin with.Other than that,
