Soooo not worth the money. Imagine shaving with a rock. Maybe I just got a fluke. In theory, Damascus steel should be the sharpest. If I’m completely wrong and you stand by your product, send a new one. I’ll mail it back.

I had only ever shaved with an electric razor before. With the pandemic in full swing, I have been wanting to undergo self improvement in many ways. Taking more time to fully embrace a self care routine was one of these steps. I did a lot of research and came across shaving with a straight razor. Naked Armor offers an excellent starter kit and information to kick start me on this journey. I am very appreciative of their product!

Much like a car you need to properly maintain this razor, which did not arrive very sharp. I did strop the razor for 15 minutes or so and was able to produce an okay shave. Will have to keep attempting to sharpen - regardless it's a niche product that takes skill and practice to use. I personally love that the kit is all black, love everything included in the kit. Wish the strop was longer and better leather material, and i wish the razor was sharper out of the box.Brush is decent, but noticed a lot of strands come off of it and onto my face when applying soap pre-shave. Soap is decentIf you have ordered a razor from Naked Armor and it's not sharp out of the box you can contact them and request a free Honing service to sharpen the blade. However be warned: You may get the knife back barely sharpened at all. Glad I didn't pay for the honing service because I would have demanded my money back - my blade did not feel sharper to any degree and I noticed a tiny chip out of the blade. Was definitely in perfect condition when I sent it out. Just invest in sharpening stones and do it yourself.

The razor is totally worth it, but the other items in this kit are sub-par.I don’t think this shave brush made it through quality control. It shed a ton of bristles and was terribly malformed. Also the strop had black marks all over it

I am new to straight shaving but razor came sharp and able to cut hair. Great kit and look forward of years of use.

The box is made of poor quality ply and came chipped and scratched. The metal clasp and hinges were so poor that it was bent and curled. The interior foam was poorly cut and had plastic around each item. It all felt very poor quality. I was hoping to give it as a gift but would feel embarrassed to give it.
