Babies Are Cosmic: Signs of Their Secret Intelligence Paperback – February 16, 2019

This book is fabulous and every pregnant family, either planning to have a baby, during your pregnancy, or a new baby should read this book. You will be AMAZED. I just wish it had been available when I was carrying my babies. If you read tis book and work with what you learn from it, you will have amazing children and communicate with them so much easier and earlier. Love them and talk to them before they are born, then listen after they get here.

I'm a former family physician who used to follow women through pregnancy, and assist through labor and birth. I felt it important to talk to babies at the time, especially during difficult labors, but if I'd known about the extent of the research and all that we actually know now through personal experiences, anecdotes, case studies, case reports, surveys and more - I'd have talked to them even more specifically and clearly.Granted, this was 20 years ago, but much of this information has been in the literature for decades now.I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated Babies Are Cosmic and it surprised me with just how much awareness exists in babies and children. We still cringe and think this is woohoo, but the science, the research, the studies have been done and new ones added and it’s time for us as a society and medical culture to begin to listen. It will change how we live, how we learn, how we relate and so much more. All for the better.I loved getting one story after another on every topic imaginable - the feeling of being embraced and held by parents after birth, appreciation for communication before birth that helped a baby find their way into vertex position, influences from IVF and much more - along with insights into how we can work with distress from early life experiences and heal.I also appreciated that the stories came from all around the world, from mothers, from adults remembering events from their early lives, from care providers such as midwives, doulas, therapists, parents who had never heard of this; from doctors; and more.The authors cite surveys and research that has been going on for years, such as by Japanese obstetrician Akira Ikegawa, who has been examining the topic of prenatal memory in children and parents for more than 2 decades. The input, details that are verified and his surveys have changed his practice, and lowered rates of complications with his patients.May we start to acknowledge the awareness that babies have and how available they are to communicate in so many more ways than we’ve imagined.

He took my face in his hands, brought his face close to mine, and said, "Mommy, don't you remember when YOU were the baby and I was the Mommy?"At the time, I just thought it was sweet. Now I truly believe that is the case. I have been practicing SGI Buddhism for 35 years - so reincarnation is a concept that seems quite “normal.”

This book needs to be every bookshelf of mothers, fathers, or anyone who wants to learn about how babies are far more than they appear. They're straight up cosmic!This book redefines how to raise a child, it's an exploration on how to unlock our full human potential. We need more conscious books like this that share stories and experiences about spirit babies in conception, communication in pregnancy, infants as aware beings, and intuitive parenting.
