Heavy duty 10 ounce cotton coverall with a bi-swing back for ease of movement. Dual took pockets and hammer loop The following guidelines are important to remember when measuring for proper fit. For the most accurate results, measure yourself in your undergarments. Give all measurements in inches. If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size. For greatest accuracy, have someone take your measurements rather than yourself. The tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight. Check the size scale of all garments being ordered to ensure that all measurements were taken at the proper points. Pants, Jeans & Bib Overalls Waist: Measurement is taken at the top of the hipbone over shirt (not over pants). Tape should only be held snug, do not hold tape tight. Inseam: Measure from the base of the crotch to the top of the shoe or boot. For jeans, add one inch. In some styles, Dickies offers an Unhemmed Inseam (UU) of 37" or (UL) is 39". Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping tape firmly under your armpits and around your shoulder blades. Hold tape level and firmly but not tight. NOTE: It is advisable to ask the person being measured how he or she wears their pants. Not everyone wears their pants or jeans the same length or height on their hips. Shirts & Coveralls Neck: Measurement is measured around the base of your neck, inserting your forefinger between the tape and your neck to allow ease in fit. Sleeve Length: Bend your arm slightly. Measure by placing one end of the tape at the bottom of the collar at the center back and mark the distance around the elbow to the bottom of the wrist. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping tape under your armpits and around your shoulder blades. Hold tape level and firmly but not tight. Jackets Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping tape under your armpits and around your shoulder blades. This measurement should be taken over clothing, preferably over garments or types of garments to be worn with the jacket. Sleeve Length: Bend your arm slightly. Measure by placing one end of the tape at the bottom of the collar at the center of the back and marking the distance around the elbow to the bottom of the wrist.

Heavy duty industry standard coveralls.
These seem to run a little large. I bought medium, I'm about 5'11", 155 lbs, slim-ish fit build and these are loose and a little baggy. If I were wearing them over regular clothes- jeans and a shirt, then the fit would be fine. If you're my height but pushing over 180-190 lbs with a gut, you might find a medium a little too snug. Get the large and hem them. The sleeve length is fine but I had to hem the legs up about 4 inches. I normally wear about a 31-32" inseam so these have about a 36" inseam. As they're 100% cotton they shrank a little when I washed them but not too much. They've worn in and are very soft and comfortable. Durable like denim, but soft.In addition to the regular front pockets there are 2 slots on the front hips that give access to the inside so you can get in to the pockets of whatever you're wearing under them. Those slots don't have any buttons or other closures so if you're wearing just underwear under, you might find yourself a little exposed. I planned to use these as protection when I worked my bee hives but with those pocket slots wide open and potentially giving thousands of stinging insects direct access to my genitalia, I might re-think that, or sew them shut.

Sizing difficult, but thick and well made
I had to buy a M, XL, and L before I found the size that fit best. As has been written by other reviewers, the sizing can be difficult. I wear a L in Dickies blended fabric coverall, which is more of a fitted fit on me, but these are roomier. I am 6’ 2”, 210 pounds, with a 34 waist, 42 chest, and an athletic build. The medium fit more like the blended large. It was a little snug and was hard to get off of my shoulders, but the length was perfect. I was worried about the shrinkage after washing so I went up to the next available size, XL. The XL was huge and baggy, especially in the waist. I finally found the L on Amazon and I’m glad I did. The large fits big enough to allow for jeans and a thin sweatshirt underneath. I thought that it would shrink more after the first washing in hot water, but I only noticed a slight change in the overall length in the legs and sleeves. Great, thick fabric that should last for many years.

Read this review if you're unsure about fit, product does run true to size.
For starters, let me help clear up some of the sizing concerns.I'm 5'10", 185lbs with a 43" chest and a 36" waist. I wear size large in mostly everything. Levi's I wear size 34x34. I ordered the size Medium Regular. It fits perfectly right out of the box. In fact it's a very flattering fit for a product that seems to be getting such negative feedback. Had no issues with the crotch being at my knees and in fact when reaching my arms straight upward I could feel it snugging against my crotch. Waist has plenty of room so no issues there. Chest was the area of concern. Gussets in the back add some mobility, but if I ever wanted to wear a hoody under it I would have to go a size larger and that's what I'll be doing. That being said, if I had a smaller chest/back, I'd keep the medium. Compare your measurements with mine to determine whether this size would be appropriate for you. Also factor in that you'll likely wash and dry it and so while this medium fits perfect now, I assume it wouldn't fit so great after a run through the dryer.Regarding the length, my shirt sleeve is a 34.5. The sleeves on the medium regular were perfect. Dead on where they should be at just a little bit above my thumb knuckle. Pants were long by about 2 inches or so and again at 5'10" I think that's normal. Not sure how people are saying that the regular size was way too long. Hopefully this review helps people to understand the dimensions of the coveralls and get the proper size. Once I have the size large in hand and washed/dried I'll write another review. Thanks

Fit is a little long in legs but acceptable
Checking the size guide, I based my decision on going a size up based on the guidance. I want to be able to wear a shirt and slacks underneath. I'm 6 feet tall, 40 inch waist, 48+ inch chest, 42 inch inseam and 35 inch sleeve. The coverall legs are about 6 inches too long, but the sleeves are a perfect length. No trouble in the crotch area, neither too snug nor too loose. The fabric is a medium weight so you will not want to wear this in hot conditions. Good product, well constructed.

These Dickies Coveralls mean Business!!
I have a bunch of Dickies workwear: High-Quality, super-durable, versatile gear at a lower price-point than some workwear brands. I actually bought these coveralls a while ago and I wear them all the time. They’ve gotten cooler with age, btw, as they’ve begun to conform to the shape of my body, fit like a second skin. Dickies stuff just looks cool too. I love it. I want to buy coveralls in some of the other colors too.

Love me some Dickies!
Heavy cotton. Fits as described. A little long but that expected and an easy fix. Prefer these over any polyblend. Would purchase again.

These are comfortable
Finally I’ve found coveralls that have the pass through pockets. I’ve ordered so many cheaper coveralls and returned them all because they are designed without the pass through pockets, so if you’re wearing anything under the coveralls and you need in your pants pockets you’d have to remove the coveralls. These are so comfortable and well made

Ordered a size smaller as others suggest and it turned out to be just that. A size too small and the size I need is not offered.
I would be absolutely thrilled with these if they were offered in my size. After reading other reviews, I chose to order a size smaller than I measured out to. It turned out to be a little too tight to work in. I will be sending them back and had hoped to order the next size up but they don't offer a large tall at this time. The drop down for these coveralls skip from medium tall to x-large tall so it looks like I am out of luck. Too bad to because these are nice coveralls compared to what the companies I've worked for supplied to employees.
