Gullsweep

We had seen this gull-sweep on a few boats in the neighborhood, so after trying unsuccessfully to create our own gull-deterring strategies, we decided to give this one a try. It works! And it doesn't look completely ridiculous. Seems well-made to stand up in marine environments, too.

It gets the job done for seagulls. It comes with a base you can fix into a fiberglass/wood part of the boat with two screws. You can take the whole thing off and just leave the base. It needs some wind to get going. It’s just expensive for what it is. I had it for 1.5 years and is on. I would buy it again

This product is so simple to put together and use it was almost too good to be true. The gulls and pipers and other sea birds cannot stay on the pier when it is moving and after a few days they have left for better places..... after two days both gullsweepers had stopped moving even though it was high winds. Once lubricated they both began to move again. They continue to work after 3 weeks and most birds are gone from that end of the pier. I am ordering more. Keep lubricated. They dont move in very low wind much but they work. Im thrilled.

I have a World Cat 280CCX that has a large flat surface on the bow that seagulls just love to sit on and use as their personal toilet. I decided to try this device, and to my great surprise and satisfaction, it actually works! I have had zero bird guano since I started using this - no more poop decks. It's been almost a year since I got it, and it is still working great. I used the sandbag mount, which is heavy and keeps the device anchored - it never moves from the spot I place it. Highly recommended.

Have tried other similar brands, but this one does work better for our boat. But, of course, you need a breeze or it won't work.

I have fought bird mess for a few years until I tried this product. I thought it was going to be a waste but for the price I would try it. No more bird problems — mess to clean on boat when I get there. Already ordered more for other area!

Excellent product, but not ideal shipping packaging by reseller. Aluminum rods were slightly bent because box a little too short. Easily straightened but should not have to do so.

Our boat and dock is frequented by hundreds of seagulls every day. We've tried everything to clear them out from plastic owls to ultrasonic sound systems. Nothing worked. The Gullsweep is so simple that I wasn't sure it would work, but boy was I wrong. We have 2 small ones attached to the railings at the front of the boat and one large on attached to a dock piling near the back of the boat. There haven't been any birds near that area since we put them up (several months ago now). We are now going to put them along the entire dock to hopefully rid ourselves of all the seagulls permanently. Great product at a great price.
