Fun for both kids & parents!!
I got this as a Christmas present for my son (he saw it on a commercial and just HAD to have it), but didn't have high expectations after reading such mixed reviews. It came right on time & the packaging was great! Opening it for the 1st time, I was honestly surprised by how great the instructions were & that there was no assembly besides setting it up.Now that I've made over a dozen "obstacle courses", I feel like I can give an honest opinion. So here is what I can tell you:~ Great Quality - clamps and pieces hold up over time & wear and have continued to do a great job, they give you a really good amount of "string" to use which was one thing I wasn't expecting & love about this one ~ Super easy to use - clamps are easy enough for kids open while also strong enough to hold the string tight, simple setting buttons on bomb & reel on clamp holding the string ~ Really works! - we like setting up in a small area so that it's a lot more difficultOverall I can honestly say this is a great product & is lots of fun!! With all of the set up possibilities, I don't see us getting bored with it anytime soon!!

My family loves this game! We feel the quality is excellent. There is plenty of string to create many challenging obstacle courses. This could really be described as a STEM activity. My kids have to be creative and think what kind of objects they can attach the clamps to. If they attach it to a chair will it be too high, a stool too low, what if they attach it to something that has wheels? They have really had to problem solve with it, but have gotten very good at setting up a course all by themselves. It entertains all 3 boys (9, 7, 3) for hours. And for family game night, mom and dad and baby brother like getting in on the action - (can dad get through the course with baby in his arms before the whole house is blown up - the suspense is killer) I would definitely recommend this game and we'll be buying it for other families for Christmas!

not perfect
It's a "good idea" toy, nicely made and packaged too but our timer is very random - we tried to correct the ropes many times, but it still acts randomly, sometimes acts as if the rope was touched while it wasn't and sometimes we touch the rope and it doesn't notice. It's frustrating for a child who expects his toys to work as they should. There's also a limited choice of things the clips can be attached to, and the rope often falls of the clips if attached not the right way. It should be made easier to install for a child.

Fun Toy
So the thing with toys is that liking them is all relative. My little one played with this twice and then got bored easily. But he is more a outdoor sports person, so this indoor thing wasn't a hit. The product itself seems to be well made. You create a maze of sorts with the string and you try to go through it before the bomb diffuses.

A really cool toy.....
We were stuck in a hotel for eight days this summer when my mom was in the hospital, and our son was going stir crazy. You can only go to the hotel pool so many times before the kid starts getting crazy so we went to a local big box store and found this toy. He loved it. We set up different courses using the furniture in the hotel room, and we had a ball playing spy. It was so much fun that he insisted we buy one for his friend's birthday present. I was glad to find it at Amazon—and for five bucks cheaper—and it was the hit of the party. The kids played with it for quite a while before and after cake, which is pretty amazing for a group of rambunctious six-year-olds. Two of the parents there told me that they planned on getting their own Chrono Bombs for their kids, and now we're thinking about getting the boys back together for a house party with four or five different rooms "booby trapped" with these "bombs." A really cool toy!

Waste of Money!
I have bought many games from Amazon and I have been satisfied with the majority of them. However this game should be taken off the market. I purchase for my 7 year old son for Christmas and he was very excited to play. I set of the game up following the instructions that it came with. First off the string is not very long to setup a fun course. But that is just a minor problem compared to the fact it does not work at all. The sensor that is suppose to activate the bomb does not work correctly. You pretty much have to shake the sensor with your hand before the bomb with go off. My son tripped over the string and pull half the course down and the sensor never went off. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Forget the kids, this is a game for grownups
I will start off saying, this is the second copy of the game I have purchased. The first was for my nephew for Christmas and after I saw how much he loved it I looked closer at it.SoooooI bought a copy for myself. I am not the target for it, but this game is great when dealing with a bunch of drinking adults that love to get in trouble. I bought my copy to play with my friends that work at Renaissance Faires, for us to play after hours when we are drinking. We tried it for a trial run at a friends apartment last weekend and the results were hilarious.

I don't know what people are talking about
This game is great. My eight year old loves it. I don't want to sound offensive, but I feel if people took the time with the game setup and their children it wouldn't be a negative experience. We had a blast. Once you've set it up a couple times it becomes easier. Definitely watch the YouTube video about setup. I was worried about other complaints, but my son had his heart set on this. I'm glad I made up my own mind. The timer is very fun, and there was plenty string for our family.
