Charles Viancin Lilypad Lid Set of 3 - Large, Medium, Med/Small

First encountered the idea of silicone covers and this particular brand at a friend's home. Over 4 days, I recognized their potential uses and utility. This is my second set from this manufacturer and use them every day. Most applicable for bowls with even, smooth rims. We have some bowls with scalloped edge rims and these covers are OK in the microwave to block splash, but not for storage on the counter or fridge as they do not seal uneven rim bowls. Otherwise, they seal well. Use them on the counters or in the fridge instead of clear plastic wrap any time we can. For our purposes, the larger sizes are more useful than the smaller sizes which prompted the purchase of the second set. We also have a third set (not this brand) which were less expensive and purchased first, but because of my prior exposure to this brand, I did not perceive the cheaper ones as nearly as versatile.These are pricey in comparison to the wide variety of choices available, but after 6 months of use, they are well worth the price differential.

I saw these in a local kitchen shop and was able to find them cheaper here. I elected NOT to purchase the package with the small covers after measuring some of the containers I was most likely to use these with. The medium-small size is perfect for covering cereal bowl sized containers - which is a common size for our household. I was a little worried that I wouldn't use the largest one, but it will be useful for 8x8 casserole dishes and larger serving bowls. These work perfect both in the microwave and frig. I bought one of those stick/remove wall hooks to hand them on for convenience and they look very nice hanging on the side of my cabinet. The one thing I have noticed is that the water spots are pretty noticeable - and I have very soft water - but they are so functional that I don't care.

Using these save so much plastic wrap waste (and $)! So easy to wash by hand or in the dishwasher. I have had two sets for several years now they are holding up great. I also use them to cover dishes in the microwave.

We have used these several times and our guests have said how strangely elegant it is for something so practical. My wife loves this and the other set of Viancin silicone products we purchased. The store well in the pantry with on hooks on the wall - as there are loops on the one end. They clean up easy and go from fridge to microwave or oven without any issue. Saves on paper towels and cling wrap.

These silicone covers are great. I use them for covering things while microwaving and to cover dishes in the fridge - avoids having to fool with plastic wrap and with a quick wash they are good to go. I bought a set for home and liked them so well I got another set for my second home and will take an extra one in to work. The largest size is too big for most uses and it would be good to include one that is slightly smaller in the set but those are minor quibbles. I like the sort of understated coloring - some of them are big flower things that are weird looking but the lilly pads are fine.

After seeing my friend's set, I just had to have some of these covers. Not only are the convenient and pretty, they are a huge conversation starter in you kitchen!! The grip is so strong, but there is no effort at all to remove the covers from your dishes.I handwash them in warm soapy water with no staining. I plan to purchase more sets for Christmas and bridal shower gifts.I will be purchasing the banana leaf sizes for my casserole dishes and the smaller sets for my little condiment bowls.

I think these are expensive, but they really do the job. They are hard wearing and look very attractive. I use my largest one as a cover when I am doing a stir fry, to protect from oily splashes. They are robuist enough to cover leftovers in the fridge to making a lid for cooking with my cast iron frying pan. I find the water lily design most attractive, and as they should last forever, they are worth the money in the long run.

These covers are great. They seal over the bowl, can be used as a cover in the microwave, and are reusable. Saves on Saran wrap and are easy to use, great to look at. One not so good thing is that my family doesn't see the leftovers so they don't get eaten as quickly but they are adjusting. I want to buy more for hostess gifts to friends.
