True 4-pole splitter, worked for me.
Worked for me. I'm using this to the split the audio signal from an Airport Express so my wife and I can both listen to the Airplay stream from the TV after the kids go to bed. I tried a number of "headphone" splitters but always had trouble with the sound cutting out if one or both headset jacks weren't in just the right position. I finally figured out that the problem was that my wife and I were both using Klipsch headsets, with microphones. Since the "headphone" splitters I had been trying to use were only 3-pole, the contacts weren't aligned properly. I combined this splitter with a 4-pole TRRS extention cable and it worked like a charm, no trouble since.Splitter seems well manufactured. The contacts are nice and tight. Sound quality is excellent. It does a true stereo split, I get left and right channels clear and balanced on both headsets at equal levels. I haven't used it in any situation where the microphone would be in play, so I can't comment on that.I will purchase again, when my kids destroy this one.Review additon, 11 months after purchase:I'd just like to add that, as of the time of this writing, it's been 11 months since I first started using this splitter nearly daily. The kids finally destroyed it. It performed like a champ right up till the end. I'm here to get another. 5 stars.

Perfect for capturing your chat audio in your Twitch stream.
You would be surprised how hard it is to find these kind of splitters. When you have an iPad/iPhone and want to do a shared call but don't want to use speaker phone it could be an option.... but that's not why I got this.I use the Astro A40s for gaming and I needed a way to pull the chat audio out of the Mixamp and add it to my Twitch livestream. There are a few problems here that need to be addressed when trying this.1. When you split out of the Mixamp you need to be sure all pins on the plug are being used. (That means you need to be sure that you plug a splitter to separate the headphone and mic on the one that you plug into your line on on the streaming computer)2. You may find yourself turning up the volume a bit to compensate for the loss in power from splitting. (not much though)3. The splitter I got is pretty tight and you need to press the cable *FIRMLY* into the splitter.

Didn't work for intended purpose
They did work for what they were purchased. I'm sure they're good cables.

A good 4-pole splitter
Works well. Good sound. Earbud audio controls for volume and play/pause work well using this splitter.

Great Cable for my Application!
A great quality cable to do exactly what I wanted. I use mine to plug two Xbox One headsets (stereo out and mic in) into a single controller so my friend can also talk while split screening online. It also allows me to hear (monitor) both mic signals through each headset which I love. The cable snaps into place with authority! I expect it to last many years. I highly recommend it!

Lets you use 2 headsets in 1 xbox one controller
I had the same issue another buyer had. 2 people on 1 xbox one, both using stereo headsets and cannot hear each other because our voices do not come through party chat to each other(microsoft never imagined this scenario?) This solved the problem pretty well, if you have a newer xbox one controller with a headphone jack built in you can use this adapter to plug both headsets into 1 controller. Go to settings and crank microphone monitoring up a bit and done. You will now hear whoever else is connected to your controller and you will also hear yourself speak. I combined this with a 4 pole extension cable so we weren't tethered too close to each other, worked great.

Garbage
This splitter is so cheaply made that it doesn’t work don’t waste your money!Inputs are loose and don’t fully connect to outputs.I bought this so I could switch quickly between listening to my iPod or the Xbox audio through my aux speaker without having to unplug and plug either in whenever I’m switching between the two.It doesn’t work properly, and has very poor quality audio.
