Vestal Black Galvanized Cast Iron Cleanout Door

My new husband wanted it. I ordered it. He’s needed it for quite some time for easy access to the chimney for easy clean out. It works perfect. It looks good coordinating with the black chimney and black cast iron skillets hanging on the wall.

Very well made. Just a bit smaller than the one that was replaced, but has adequate size opening for ease of cleaning. Should last for years. I would recommend.

I put this on an older cleanout and the size was too small, but I just mortared in an old brick to fill the space. Otherwise solid.

I bought this unit to replace the rusted door that fell out in my basement. After some cleanup, I used adhesive mortar in a caulking tube to install it and fill in areas where the block was broken. I then added some support to lightly hold it in place while the mortar dried. It's holding and more importantly, I can run my heater now.

Well made and shipped on time but would be better if interior dimensions of back side were provided.

Works great. Installed in old oil furnace chimney in conjunction with a wood burning stove (in the basement of a rental property). Honestly my tenant installed this himself so it must have been easy to do. He can't even figure out how to use a pen to write a check when the rent is due.

Good solid product but not for amateurs. If you don't know masonry work get help.
