Brake warning indication fix. Fits Earlier models too.
I installed this on 2004 Silverado to fix the brake system warning indicator. This is the same switch than comes on the $100 (21998450) combination/proportioning valve that GM wants you to replace when only the switch goes bad. Swaps out in 10min. No need to bleed the system. Should work fine on the 2000 -2006 Silverados, Tahoes, Suburbans and others with the same combination valve.

The right part for 2003 Chevy Tahoe
My brake warning light started to flash as well as a "service brake system" message and a constant Ding. The brake control module showed no errors. The scanner showed the brake fluid is low, but there is no fluid level sensor. We determined it was the brake differential switch that was the issue. In my research, all parts sources including GM say this part is not compatible with the 2003 tahoe. It is for previous models. The only want to sell you the entire differential valve assembly for $100. This is indeed the correct switch for this model. It is exactly the same as the previous models, it's just the parts suppliers want to sell you a more expensive part. It took longer to find the right wrench than it did to fix it. It was less than 5 minutes total with no mess.

DO NOT BUY
Item leaked brake fluid after driving for a day. Nearly killed myself and a friend. As a side note I installed it according to the service manual and work on brake systems for a living. Cheap terrible quality garbage!!!!

Fix for brake light alarm on 2006 Tahoe
This is the factory part to fix the proportioning valve switch/sensor that gets stuck and throws a light on the dash. Worked great and a snap to install!

Right part and price
This simple to replace part solved the "Service Brake System" nagging message on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. According to the part match identifier this was the wrong part for my vehicle, but it was identical to the original Factory GM part. Unplug the wire connector and unscrew the old part. Install the oring included with the new part all the way to the top of the threaded part of the new part. screw it into the portioning valve and replug the wire connector. Problem solved.
