A Professional Mic that's very affordable!
I have worked with the best mic's in the world. From the U47 vintage Tube Mic's to todays top vitual mics like the Slate ML1. I needed to upgrade the mic IU se in my home studio where I do a lot of professional voice over work and some music production as well. The MXL V671 was a perfect choice! Straight into the box with no plug ins, you can just tell its a quality microphone. I use it with the Steinberg UR44 which has phantom power built in. I predict I will have this mic for many years.

Awesome!
I bought one of these in December 2014, based solely on the other reviews here, most of which claimed that this mic was stupidly good quality for the price.Wow. Totally blown me away.I am a professional audio engineer working in a radio station's commercial production facility. We normally use a Neumann U87 for our vo work. This MXL mic sounded even better than our U87. Now, before I get flamed off the interwebz for speaking such sacreligious filth, let me apply this caveat... our U87 is 30+ years old and to the best of my knowledge, has never been serviced (and is in desperate need of such).I could not be happier with this mic.Mine is not staying at work, it's going back to my home studio. But I would say to anyone doing home recordings or running a small project studio, give this mic a go. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Great Mic at a Great Price
Great mic. Excellent sonic quality. However, it didn't come with a mounting adapter. Had to purchase a shock mount in order to use it. It's not a make or break issue, but my MXL 2001 mic did include a mounting adapter. It just seems a bit inconsistent.

Very good Microphone for the price.
My electronics tech turned me on to the MXL V67i. I've had a studio since the early 70's and I wish this microphone was available back then. It took a long time for the industry to come up with a decent product in this price range. I tested this product and was very impressed with it's performance. I hope it will give me many years of use. I will recomend this microphone to anyone who is looking for a good product at a good price.Michael-New York

Everything and More !
I bought this mic about a week ago to do a bluegrass / folk Sunday. The band gathered around this mic and lead worship. I added no eq to this mic and the instruments and vocals sounded stellar in then PA system and listening back on the recording. I could only imagine what this would sound like in a more controllered environment like a studio or even a home studio with no outside noises.
